I judt downloaded some slipknot songs from MFKR, and all I have to say is WOW. It is so different than the rest of their music. The vocals are VERY different with their old singer. They added solos that were actually somewhat good, and not structure-less wanking. Also, the weirdest track has to be Do nothing-Bitchslap. It opens with a crazy bassline, and it has Jazz interludes and some Funk guitar. It is very different.

i dont like slipknot anymore but when i did i thought that album was very different and pretty cool to thier standards

I don't listen to Slipknot but I use to, I would like to hear this album.

Please post in the Slipknot thread, please. But since you mentioned it, that album is quite good. The best song is Confessions.

What he said is true. The album was massively different from Slipknot's Roadrunner albums, and the bassline on Do Nothing is amazing. The entire song is so random and unique compared to anything they've ever done.

That´s cause it´s pieced together from one or more "learning guitar" book...

MKFR is actually quite good, if you're going to say "SLIPKNOT SUX" just to seem cool, you are a pillock.

I used to be curious about that album, I never got round to hearing it before my curiosity left me.

For the people that doubt Slipknots effort on this album, I am going to up load Do Nothing - Bi[SIZE=2]tch[/SIZE]slap for all of you right now. Give me a minute.

All of you who came in here and said Slipknot sucked, you just earned yourself a warning. If you're going to be close-minded, at least use some intelligence..

Yeah, Do Nothing/Bitchslap is good, it keeps going into jazz/**** groove bits with good basswork.

Yea, all the bashers can't seem to comprehend that Slipknot was a completely different band when they recorded MFKR. It only had half the current members, and except for a few songs which were later re-recorded, it sounds pretty different from their other songs. My personal favorite from that album is "Confessions"...it almost sounds like a ballad, and there's a nice solo in there too.

It's the only work Slipknot has done that's any good, and yes, Do nothing, Bitchslap is very jazz inspired, great song.

The album is actually good, now only if they had kept that up instead of getting 20 more members and ruin it.

I agree completely. It's a great album, first Slipknot album I heard, which gave me good thoughts on Slipknot, which were later ruined.... :P

I made a thread on this a while back.

The CD went way down. My friend just bought it on eBay for 25 bucks. It was a "Buy it now" thing too. It used ot be up in the 40s.

I think that do nothing/bitchslap is the best work that Paul Gray has and ever will do. That's the best he's ever played really.

Slipknot Is my favorite band And Im surprised they sound so diffrent on MFKR. I think the best song off that Is Do nothing(bitchslap), and I can't wait untill I go see them play a live show, I have never seen them live before, It going to kick some ***

MFKR is awesome.Paul Gray plays great throughout the whole album.Hell, the biggest dynamic in the album is his bass playing.I still think Vol.3 is better, but this is up there with it.Both are way above s/t and Iowa.

What the hell is wrong with you people. There is an OFFICIAL Slipknot thread for this. If you find yourself banned don't ask why, you know. They range from 5 days to 1 day. I can't believe some of the older members posted in this.
