yeah man....those are just disgusting looking.

-TheGlassPrison- 01-23-2005 04:27 PM

Ok,
either its fake.. or paiste has just broken my heart:(

Der Meister 01-23-2005 04:31 PM

its joey jordisons new line of rudes,

bobby__johnny 01-23-2005 04:34 PM

they're verymuch real. you can get Paiste to color just about any cymbal.....for a price.

at least, you used to...dont know about now.

mattdrums12 01-23-2005 04:40 PM

how do you think they color cymbals? im sure its something they put into the metal but does anyone know?

bobby__johnny 01-23-2005 04:47 PM

powder coat i beleive....similar to hardware, only MUCH thinner coats. Think Titanium on ZXT's.

groomits 01-23-2005 04:48 PM

it looks like children's toys...

Everything_and_Nothing_3:15 01-23-2005 04:59 PM

I think Joey's kit looks sick with the white cymbals.

lewisniven 01-23-2005 05:00 PM

i actually think its looks pretty **** cool, im sensing theres some anti slipknot-ness going on in this forum, which is fair enough, but be honest, hes a fecking awesome drummer. and i really think his new cymbals are pretty sexy.

-TheGlassPrison- 01-23-2005 05:05 PM

yeh.. if your color blind..

bobby__johnny 01-23-2005 07:39 PM

we only bash slipknot when the odd kid comes on claiming Jordison is the greatest thing ever.....and when someone thinks white cymbals are cool ;)

Janitor 01-23-2005 07:42 PM

It looks a little bit like a frisbee.

The syllek attacks 01-23-2005 08:17 PM

I think they should have a Jordison sig. Double bass pedal becuase thats all he seams to care about.

-TheGlassPrison- 01-23-2005 08:22 PM

haha pwnd

PowerStamp 01-23-2005 08:39 PM

looks like a plate or yeah, a frisbee.

bobby__johnny 01-23-2005 08:46 PM

more like a candle

Chippy569 01-23-2005 09:02 PM

any color from paiste, just take it's price and add 15% or something like that.

i liked those old blue ones...

The syllek attacks 01-23-2005 09:07 PM

the color sounds... how did those things sound?

Half Life 01-23-2005 09:17 PM

That splash is so white, ugh, it hurts my eyes to look at it. Although I really, really, really want that splash  I think I'll just stick with my 10" A Zildjian splash...in traditional finish  :thumb:

poppinfresh 01-23-2005 09:25 PM

HAHAHA they call shipping carriage.!!

-TheGlassPrison- 01-23-2005 09:28 PM

those silly kids from the U.K

(not means to insult any drummers from UK round' these parts of the forums)

CombatWombat3 01-23-2005 09:28 PM

That's just hideous. The only explanation I have for it is the people at Paiste, when thinking up new ideas, spilled some of their crack all over a cymbal and processed it.

funky_penguin3 01-23-2005 09:35 PM
I think Joey's kit looks sick with the white cymbals.
I think it looks like monkey. And monkey's are not hot in my books.

There's an advertisement in the new Modern Drummer with his whole cymbal setup like that. Looks cheap to me.

crazy lil drummer boy 01-23-2005 09:53 PM

tis the new joey line. would definitly look gay if you only had one, ya need em all the same, and even then, u would need a nice kit to pull them off.

Chubbs724 01-23-2005 10:44 PM

They would only look good on a pure white kit with white hardware, lugs, screws, ect..
That would acually be awesome :)

zildjian_drummer 01-23-2005 11:33 PM

yeah, those cymbals are advertised in MD and someother mags.

I hate them:P White looks ugly on cymbals

RichHunt 01-23-2005 11:36 PM

Where the **** is the bell?

Flat splash?

No thanks.

slaytalica25 01-24-2005 12:10 AM

ive seen red paiste rides at gc. hella wierd.

Jezen 01-24-2005 01:35 AM

I'd hit it.......

With a sledgehammer.....:D

bobby__johnny 01-24-2005 09:09 AM

cymbals should be a natural bronze color only.

Fuzzy 01-24-2005 11:00 AM

Looks good.... with about 2 finishes. Anything else = no good.

Fuzzy 01-24-2005 11:01 AM
Where the **** is the bell?

There's a bell, but the way the picture was taken and due to the white coating it's hard to see.

fritzz 01-24-2005 01:52 PM

jeah it's not very nice...
if you play for a couple of hours won't there be some dots of your sticks on the cymbals?

RichHunt 01-25-2005 01:01 AM
There's a bell, but the way the picture was taken and due to the white coating it's hard to see.
I thought that may be the case but I just thought I'd be a dick instead.
if you play for a couple of hours won't there be some dots of your sticks on the cymbals?
You mean like when you use nylon sticks? :p

dragonninja 01-25-2005 02:10 AM

I like it.

mprules 01-25-2005 02:48 AM

it looks cheapy and crappy

are paiste worth all the extra $$ than sabian / zildjian

they cost so muhc more...

DruMMeR_BoY14 01-25-2005 02:55 AM

I reckon it looks cool, but you'd need a whole set of them to make it look good. Plus Rudes aren't exactly the most versitile cymbals in the world

the_cheesy_one 01-25-2005 03:26 AM

now that looks odd...

_Austin_ 01-25-2005 12:43 PM
I reckon it looks cool, but you'd need a whole set of them to make it look good.
I agree, you would need the whole line of them and a good looking kit to make it look any good

But i also think most of you are very narrow-minded... I for one can accept that jordison is a good drummer, and the speed and accuracy he has is very competitable... But being anti-joey just because the whole of the rest of the forum is, doesnt mean you should.

I hate slipknot as much as anyone else, but his drumming leaves me astounded. If he has enough money to do things like get white/coloured cymbals, then it is an addition to his expression and i can (and so should you) level with his thinkings of getting them made.

i know you are all voicing your opinions, but seriously, you have to be respectful of his talent
