Not cool.[/QUOTE] I lol'd. |
My job is going to be so much win in Summer. But it is horrible now. Rain and snow + outdoors is bad times.
|
my boss is a pretty badass ukulele player, and he's recording some of his original songs, and i'm laying down the basslines for them.
a lot of his songs are in a/a minor (which is completely innocently done, he knows almost nothing about music theory) but they're freaking cool songs. when i get the finished copies i'll upload them. |
week sauce.
|
So, I'm ordering some EMG 45DC-Xs for my Schecter. They look pretty sweet and will hopefully really fill in that low end/low-mid section for me.

Well, thread deletions suck, but oh well.
I received my bike last Friday. I realize how out of shape I am in the cycling department. /wrist |

They lefted when Jeremy decided to temporarily delete our MXican world. :upset:
|
Well, someone hacked the place and effed it all up, so the forums were closed and cleaned up.
Anyway, my drummer has this Peavey practice amp at his house and, for some reason, I find my guitar to sound just great through it. I think it's Envoy 110. |
I've decided not to sell my cab for a lighter one on account of I love how it sounds way too much and don't want to go to the effort of finding a smaller one that sounds like it.
|
If you like the sound you're getting from your gear, there's not much reason to trade in for something else.
My Vox is about 70 pounds and I'm always carrying it up and down big flights of stairs, but it's a wicked amp. |
Agreed ^
I hate carrying my 80+ lb head and rack around, but it sounds too good to sell off parts of it. I need to invest in a little luggage dolly. |
So, is it a good idea to have this set-up?
DI -> compressor -> soundcard Or should I put the compressor in my FX loop? |
Damned if I know. I compress through GarageBand, so I just go from my interface to my program.
|
I don't use any effects, so it might just be worth it to compress in the loop and use my head's DI; I'm sure it wont make any discernable difference.
If I do use effects though, should I compress before or after? Or both? Any suggestions? |
Hence the "damned if I know" bit. :p
