Ac/dc

What do you think there top 3-5 CD's are? Also what do you think some of there top songs are?

horseypie 10-18-2004 05:39 PM

i reckon it goes like Highway to hell, powerage, high voltage, dirty deeds, back in black.
also their best songs would have to be almost all off the highway to hell album, and shake a leg off back in black

BackInBlack 10-18-2004 06:30 PM

Ok Thanks, It would be nice to get somemore opinions.

 ^^just what I was thinking

Thunderstruck TNT etc..

DeusExMachina 10-18-2004 07:47 PM

Not an AC/DC fan... I think they're kinda repetitive. I mean, they're alright, but only in small doses... *runs to the hills and hides*

iliketoplaydrums10111 10-18-2004 07:48 PM

Back in Black is my fav. album of theres

acdcfreak 10-18-2004 08:11 PM

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap is definatly one of their great albums that doesn't get as much credit as it deserves. So that is probably my number one, although i really like powerage as well. Highway to hell and back in black are great albums but have been blown out of proportion. Most people who claim to really like AC/DC (at least where i am) hardly know any of their songs besides Back In Black, You Shook Me All Night Long, Highway To Hell, and TNT. Those same people don't even realize that AC/DC's original singer, Bon Scott, died, they think they had the same singer the whole time. You think of all people they would have noticed since Bon Scott died after the release of Highway to Hell and Brian Johnson was brought in for Back In Black. *sigh* Unfortunatley, a lot of people never listen any deeper than the songs that are played on the radio.

omgwtfboogie 10-18-2004 08:20 PM

They're all the same crap. Seriously.

JPaGeLZ 10-18-2004 08:23 PM

my favorite ac/dc songs are thunderstruck, back in black, you shook me all night long, shake a leg, TNT, dirty deeds and the done dirt cheap, and hells bells...there are many many more hits but those are my absolute favorite songs

s0ldsoul4roknrol 10-18-2004 08:43 PM

Favorite albums: High Voltage, Highway to Hell, Let There Be Rock, If you want blood you've got it, Back in Black.

The Bonfire years were so much better than the later years.

Oh and did you guys know that in the end of '04 or the beginning of '05 (hopefully) they will be coming out with a new cd called "Strap it On"

Beautiful, just beautiful. That is exacly what those people need to learn about, they only know about the Brian Johnson years and yet Bon Scott was so much better and AC/DC was more original with him. :thumb:

If by "No you just suck" you mean "Your musical tastes don't include ****" then yes, that is correct.
They're all the same crap. Seriously.
I guess...I like them a lot though, they're one of the founders of today's metal so they deserve some credit. I guess they sound the same if you consider it's all blues rock, but they have a lot variation in my opinion.

Well what do you listen to?

enpsychopedia 10-18-2004 08:53 PM

i like AC/DC, because they are hard-ish rock, and im not much for metal. its more because they still know how to have fun with songs, instead of being serious all the time. and when you think about it, wasnt that kinda what queen did?

Well, no doubt they had influence. It's just that they managed to remake the same album a number of times to become legends. That gets me ticked.

See exactly, thats the later ****. Listen to the stuff from 75-80 and it sounds different, a lot of variations of songs.

Best Albums:

Let There Be Rock (*fkk yeah)
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Powerage
Highway to Hell
The Razor's Edge

Best Songs:

Whole Lotta Rosie
Problem Child
Big Balls
Riff Raff
You Shook Me All Night Long

Yeah. I liked the Bon years alot better. they seemed different back then... more creative like that one guy said... but yeah there still a kick *** band either way.

and for all who hate em just cuz their simpler than most bands, think about it for a minute. im not just saying this cuz their one of my favorite bands. Blink-182 is simple. AC/DC is pure rock n' roll. At least they solo.

omgwtfboogie 10-18-2004 09:56 PM

I don't dislike them because their simple, I mean, some songs I've heard by them are actually kinda technical. It's the repetitive quality that gets to me. If I have to say it one more time I'm going to have to take a sedative.

my bad. shouldnt have judged. but yeah if you haven't heard it listen to riff raff. its not the most complex song around but its still pretty badass.

Well, I'll go search for it then. I think I've heard of it before, never listened though.

Yeah I was that one guy. Oh and if you ever wanna some true solo-ing skills and some different riffs that you don't normally hear AC/DC play then get some live videos. Man they can really pump it up live. This is for you too omgwtfboogie so you don't think that they are so repetive although they tended to be in the later years :D

Oh and also some good songs that don't sound the same :D :
Touch Too Much
Carry Me Home(rare Bon Track)
The Jack
Money Talks
Thunderstruck
Let There Be Rock

have you ever checked out AC/DC: Live at Donnington '91? angus rips a loooong solo for let there be rock and it kicks ***.

flyhalf 10-20-2004 02:10 AM

AC/DC was the reason i picked up a guitar :thumb:

My fav albums:
Highway to Hell
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Let There Be Rock
TNT
Back in Black or For Those About to Rock

I think it's the only band in which repetition has worked for such a long time.

And you gotta wonder how angus can pull off all of those solos whilst going crazy like he does :thumb: , and you gotta respect them, they've pretty much stayed as a group for more than 30 years and are still rocking at 60 odd years old :)

rippa32 10-20-2004 03:13 AM

There the reason I picked up a guitar as well.

Everyone is saying that the Bon years were better but I actually prefer the Johnson years. If you want a good album listen to the Razors Edge.
