Janeway 05-29-2006 02:59 PM

Suc ma ballz.

I want a kit to play acoustic drum'n'bass on, but I can't decide between acrylic or maple. I'm ordering from Conaway, mostly because the guy is old and I trust old guys a lot more with making drums than all of the new sk8tr bois at SJC and Spaun, so that leaves hybrids out of the question.

I can't find a colour scheme for acrylic that hasn't already been done before.

Plan B. 05-29-2006 03:04 PM

WELCOME to the new MILLENIUM.

(first post in the stronghold in a while)

Pleaseme 05-29-2006 03:19 PM

I still can't decide between coated ambs and clear emps for my toms. Urgh.

fishbulb 05-29-2006 03:22 PM
I can't find a colour scheme for acrylic that hasn't already been done before.
Don't most acrylic kits come only in one flat color like clear, red or orange?

Pleaseme 05-29-2006 03:23 PM

Thge Jellybean had 3 colours. Now that was sexy.

Janeway 05-29-2006 03:24 PM

The shells themselves. I'm not a fan of any of the new multicolour acrylic shells Conaway's got.

But I'm talking about powdercoated hardware and crap.

Drum Phil 05-29-2006 03:25 PM
Whooo! New user name.
But berk, you're an emo kid :P

Plan B. 05-29-2006 03:26 PM

OMG GUYS, I wanna drum so bad, I just got the new MD with the mother DC on the cover and I'm gunna flip tits.

Here I go.

fishbulb 05-29-2006 03:35 PM

When do you guys usually get the MD's? I got the last issue a week ago. But i remember that some people get them months after i get mine.

Berk 05-29-2006 03:37 PM
But berk, you're an emo kid :P
Come on...Please.
Change it for the love of god.
What about "PostHardcoreLove"

Plan B. 05-29-2006 04:03 PM

It seems like it took so long for me to get this one (July '06). I've had the Chad Smith for a while now, but I can't pin-point 'cause it's all over the place.

fishbulb 05-29-2006 04:37 PM

It takes me so long to get through MD's because i'm so slow.

Jezen 05-29-2006 04:40 PM
well my 5th iPod broke today..Thank god I got a warrenty for this peice of junk
Does it show a folder with an exclamation mark on it? Mine used to do that, i put the hold on and kept slowly flipping it, it would eventually find it. If it's the sad iPod i jus tkept banging mine. Now i'm selling it on eBay.

Berk 05-29-2006 06:32 PM

Damn,
I just tried to learn "In My Time Of Need" by Opeth...I Fucking hate ghost notes.....
Does anybody know some vids (internet) about ghost notes.
And how do you say Opeth?

fishbulb 05-29-2006 06:35 PM

I would say it Ohpehth. Well, just exactly how it looks.

Berk 05-29-2006 06:39 PM

The "th" at the end sounds funny and I thought I was saying it wrong.
