Candide = about a guy getting flogged, shipwrecked, etc, and finding out that bad luck is based on the positions of the stars or something. I havent read it yet so i dont know

Hey Clearvision, hows the Tool thread deal coming? I asked about it in the questions/problems thread, and Vince said that you were on top of it.

Candide is by the philosopher Voltaire. It's about a guy (Candide) who witnesses horrible things happening to people, and yet they do nothing about it, because they say it's all fate and that they can't change it. It's been a few years since I read it, so I don't remember all that much.

Canidide is Voltaire's (author) novel that satires life. He basically makes fun of religion, war, rich people, money, and especially optimism. He has some very interesting points, and at the time it was written (18th century I think), it pissed off a lot of people. I liked it a lot.

I've been job hunting the last few weeks. I think I'm going "local pizza place" because its real laid back, and delivery is fun.

I hate my job. Since I live on a diary, my dad 'hooks me up' with a job, without the hassle of applying, interviewing, or taking a Urinary Analysis.(luckily) Typically, this would be a good thing, but the only problem is that I have to wade around in cow shi[B][I][/I][/B]t all day. :rolleyes: Oh well.
