It's terribly boring and uninteresting. I thought it sucked. It's not hyperbole. An interesting idea doesn't make an interesting story.

[I]1984[/I] is probably top 15 even if its just a [I]We[/I] ripoff and parts of it are like watching paint dry

all of George Orwell's works are top notch to be honest

I really enjoyed Animal Farm.

I think the idea is alot less interesting than the story itself. The characters are extremely well developed and it goes through lots of highs and lows.

Brave New World is the opposite - interesting social critique, bland story+boring and predictable characters.

Brave New World is a way better and more interesting piece from a literary standpoint but is less accccccccccccccurate of a prophecy c

I agree with Jaundice, I enjoyed Brave New World far more than 1984. But, for what it's worth, I kind of grew out of the whole 'dystopia' genre once I finished high school.

it's not so much the caste system as it is the fact that the government uses constant sensation to control people that makes it interesting to me

I think its a rather accurate depiction of media, it's the entire depiction of government in it that's impossibly inaccurate
