I've recently re-discovered The White Album. So so good.
I remember when I re-discovered The White Album. I got hooked on Helter Skelter and thought since it had been a while that I had listened to the album start to finish so I it a shot and listen to it reguarly from then on.

Illmatic 07-31-2005 10:52 PM

That first disc is killer.
"Back in the U.S.S.R."
"Dear Prudence"
"While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
"Happiness is a Warm Gun"
"Martha My Dear
"I'm So Tired"
"Blackbird"

The only real bad songs are "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" and "Bungalow Bill"

pigonthewing82 07-31-2005 10:55 PM

Yeah disk one owns, i love how diverse it is.

Badmoon 07-31-2005 10:56 PM

Yeah, it's Fargo.

JonG 07-31-2005 10:59 PM

Fargo is a great movie.

"So, that be your friend in the wood-chipper eh?"

Badmoon 07-31-2005 11:00 PM

Yea, it's a great movie. There's several Coen brothers movies I prefer though.

I played Lean On Me for some people who were singing it in our talent show. I knew I recognized that name from somewhere.

Leper 07-31-2005 11:45 PM

Doesn't he also sing a song that goes "i'm goin' to the country..." or something like that? Or am i thinking of someone else?..

Does anyone know how the American and British version of Hendrix' Red House differ?

Well I passed my test. Of course there's no way in hell I was going to pass so I took Jam2Me's advise and had yellow food coloring with me at the time of my test.

Thank you Jam2Me I would be pretty fucked over without your suggestion. :)

I think "Bungalow Bill" is catchy as hell. I hate "Happiness is a Warm Gun".

Could have been but I'm pretty sure it was Jam2Me. (or maybe it was Keep on Phishin' )

Lunch 08-01-2005 08:23 AM
I like "People Try To Put Us Down", "I Don't Mind (Other Guys Dancin' With My Girl)", and "Pick Up My Guitar and Play"
Dude, it's "Hope I Die Before I Get Old". N00b.

(Get Tommy).

magicbus 08-01-2005 09:04 AM

I actually like every song on Disc 1 of The White Album, I think it's great. I haven't listened to Disc 2 as much, so I can't say the same for that.

My favorites on Disc 1 are "I'm So Tired", "Happiness Is A Warm Gun", "Julia", and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".

Lunch 08-01-2005 09:06 AM

Side 3 is great, as my father and I were discussing. Though I generally prefer the first disc also.

Walrus Gumboot 08-01-2005 09:33 AM

Where do you get these drug tests? It would be fun to do experiments on them to see what does/doesen't work

Did I start a trend?! Or did both of our old school senses just kick in at the same time?

Walrus Gumboot 08-01-2005 10:25 AM

Yesterday there was a big bike race where I live, and one of the bikers had a DSOTM jersey (You know, those lycra things)
He won the coolest jersey contest hands-down

The Clash 08-01-2005 10:27 AM
