Angmar 09-02-2008 03:39 PM

I'm celebrating my last day of summer in style, Cuban cigar ripoffs and dr. pepper and alcohol mixes. :p

Tyr 09-02-2008 03:55 PM

I celebrated my impending doom, i.e. the Stockholm half Marathon this Saturday, by running 14 km. It was not pleasant.

Riva 09-02-2008 03:57 PM

Good luck with that Björn. The half-marathon is 21km or something, right? My mate was going to run the Townsville marathon and the week before the race he pulled his hamstring in the warm-up. Two years of training down the drain.

Glitterati 09-02-2008 04:12 PM

I realized last night that if I took all the loose change that's accumulated around my nightstand by my bed, I could go down to the local gas station and buy a small bucket of ice cream and I could eat it while watching Six Feet Under episodes in my pajamas.

Then I got my period.

metacognition 09-02-2008 04:13 PM

did you have to ask permission to buy a tampon?

Tyr 09-02-2008 04:15 PM

Thanks, Jason. Yeah, 21,097.5 meters, to be exact. I have never tried running that far before, so we'll see how it goes.

I'd hate to see that much training go to waste, just because of some stupid injury.

Thor 09-02-2008 04:31 PM

and you have a super late summer!
did you have to ask permission to buy a tampon?
No I just stole one of my mom's during a Gilmore Girls commercial break.

Angmar 09-02-2008 04:42 PM

Cuban ripoffs certainly don't compete with the real thing, even if they leave the same noticeable aftertaste for hours.

Niflheim II 09-02-2008 05:01 PM

Fake Cubans are usually just bannana skins or something similiar, waste of money.

Angmar 09-02-2008 05:07 PM

Not really that much of a waste, only cost like 2 bucks.

I wish I could get some real ones again, but I don't wanna go back to China.

Niflheim II 09-02-2008 05:09 PM

u can order them but they expensive, may as well buy some real tobacco gars if ur gonna spend 2$ at ur local chinchin store

whens the part where you hang yourself.

metacognition 09-02-2008 05:34 PM

Good cigars are never $2, that's the price of gas station cigars.

Aaron 09-02-2008 05:37 PM

Yo Angmar. Think I should add vocals to that track you listened to [sample based stuff] or keep it instru?

Angmar 09-02-2008 05:50 PM

Meh, vocals tend not to fit that kind of music so much, although with ambient some artists can put in cool choir/chanting affects that fit real well and make it sound nice.

Iluvatar 09-02-2008 05:56 PM

why not make ambient music with vocals?

Angmar 09-02-2008 06:00 PM

Well I haven't heard too much with it tbh, just they probably don't fit the super chilled back kind of ambient as well, but who knows, if you got good enough vocals I'm sure that it could work.

Txus 09-02-2008 06:02 PM

I'm about to watch Bjork's DVD :D

Iluvatar 09-02-2008 06:03 PM

airy female vocals

Aaron 09-02-2008 06:05 PM

I was thinking of doing kind of spoken word stuff, editing it to be alot more angularrrrrr [mixing it as it's own track] then mixing them together and doing panning effects for different lines.

adb 09-02-2008 06:14 PM

spoken vocals can sound great if done correctly

RiceMonster 09-02-2008 06:18 PM
I'm about to watch Bjork's DVD :D
That will probably be really bizarre and kind of stupid :p. At least if it's like her music videos.
