Uh, it's part of this that makes me nervous. The whole point is to try and get a good response, and the fact that I'm interviewing someone who has already done dozens means I have to work that much harder at it.

Actually, no, not really. It's not actually supposed to be a boring question and answer session, you're supposed to say as little as possible to make the artist say something worthwhile. You're supposed to get honest reactions and responses, not factual answers.
