K - 6 is labeled Grade School

7-8 is labeled Middle School or Junior High

9-12 is labeled High School from Freshman, Sophmore, Junior to Senior in that order of grade levels.

Riva 08-28-2005 04:35 AM

Cool. Well, to inform people of Australia:

Pre-school
Mostly 4-5 year olds, though many parents send their kids to a prepatory year.

Primary School
This level has 7 grades, and most kids are 5-6 when they enter Grade 1.

High School
Featuring Grades 8-12, this level sees children around 13/14 entering and mainly 17/18 year olds leaving. It is also to leave formal schooling in year 10, but you must have a fulltime job, or apprenticeship lined up.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-28-2005 04:36 AM

Thanks bobo.

On the matter of PPD, That Akuyeri (sp?) had a PPD of 100 :amaze:

/has 3 PPD >_>

Crazy queensladers. We NSW people start high school in grade 7! The proper way :p

Riva 08-28-2005 04:44 AM

Akeyuri changed his name to Damien Rhodes. I remember when I got 30 ppd, I cut back in fear of being too "nerdy"... :p

Riva 08-28-2005 04:49 AM

Yeah, well, you've got a postcount less than me, but you've been here nearly 3 years longer. :p That means you have more of a life then me. :shakes hand:

blueyxd 08-28-2005 05:34 AM

It's all about how much time you waste on here. I waste lots, I just dont post that much.. so it doesnt look as bad to others

superpeer 08-28-2005 06:49 AM

Not as bad as me, you mean. :upset:

Iron Man 08-28-2005 06:51 AM

I forgot how to check my PPD, but I assume it's in the 3-4 range...of course, considering I took a few months off MX in the spring.

superpeer 08-28-2005 06:51 AM

3.34 per day for you.

23.42 for me. :upset:

blueyxd 08-28-2005 06:56 AM

Where do you check that stuff, or will I have to bust out old Calcy 186?

nevermind, I found it. 1.86 looks alright

Kingofdudes 08-28-2005 07:05 AM

From what? to what?

Have you got itunes?

Kingofdudes 08-28-2005 07:16 AM

clearvision 08-28-2005 07:26 AM

hxxp://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0U8VBVIJV1S0Q2HC0ALPFHFKOF

Here is a midi of drums + bass

If someone would convert it to a wav file using fruity loops or something I'd be a happy man, I have tried doing it but i suck with fruity loops and it wouldn't even play through it :(

KingOfDudes - In itunes...go to edit/preferences...then choose mp3 and the bit rate you want...then right click the song in your itunes library and select convert to mp3 :)

blueyxd 08-28-2005 07:26 AM

can you export it to wav in iTUnes? if so then use an mp3 encoder
if not go look for foobar2000 becase that can do it

http://www.foobar2000.org/ and http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/ are the two best resources I can think of for your situation

Kingofdudes 08-28-2005 07:31 AM

Thanks guys, but im not sure if I have enough time now. Ill see you all once the hurricane is gone/when we get power back.

edit: actually I do have time, thanks

Apocalyptic Raids 08-28-2005 07:32 AM

LeperAffinity has a program which does that in his Soulseek files. He isn't online right now, so I can't get the name :(

His Soulseek is Leper_Affinity if you want to try when he is online next.
Can someone explain what the names for the grades of American school mean? And a basic layout of the school system would also be appreciated. I'm feeling confuzzled.
grades kindergarten through 5 - elementary school
grades 6 through 8 - middle school/junior high
grades 9 through 12 (freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior in that order) - high school

It varies in some places--in some places elementary school is grades K-8, or K-6, or whatever, but that's what it was in my school.

Kurtz 08-28-2005 11:00 AM

 Jelle! Why?!

Actually, I really don't mind it.

Endless Obsession 08-28-2005 11:01 AM

My school -

K-2 - Elementary
3-4 - I dont know what its called but it was a different school
5-7 - Middle School
8-12 - High school

That is the wierdest school system I have ever seen though none others go like this.

halfdeadhippo 08-28-2005 11:05 AM

Not my school system, but an adjacent city's:

K-5: Elementary
6-7: Middle
8-9: Jr. High
10-12: High

It wouldn't really be stupid if they didn't still have the freshmen play with the high schoolers on sports teams.

Endless Obsession 08-28-2005 11:11 AM

What is that stuff that Australians put on their bread and stuff, its like worst tasting thing ever, its all brown. Its killing me that I cant remember the name.

EDIT : I remembered, its veggiemite.

ATM 08-28-2005 11:13 AM

Marmite?

Edit: At least I got part of it right
