Jamey Aebersold (sp?) books, for jazz at least...

The Tom Morgan book has a lot of play along stuff, it's a full band though, same with the Aebersold books...

idk about anything non jazz...

Yeah they are fairly hard to use. I mean common, a head that is tuneable :amaze: where did they get that idea from....

Futuro 03-01-2006 11:55 PM

So im doing this one man band thing. Im gonna program sounds, play Guitar, Bass, Drums, And use midi.

I have one track basically finished. Kinda has a classical sound to it. Fairly basic stuff, The point behind this was to be filled with layering, and samples instead of 6 minute+ Guitar solos like my other band.

LoneStarDrummer 03-02-2006 12:42 AM

i'm off to bed. i'm bored. talk to you lamos later.

wicked, I know a guy who did that, recorded a whole album. Then found a band and now they are probably the most popular band in town.

Awsome. What great performers/players/writers.
wicked, I know a guy who did that, recorded a whole album. Then found a band and now they are probably the most popular band in town.
Thats cool,
But Im gonna keep doing this by myself. When you are in a band you have to share to many things. I figure if I am the only person in on it, I can express exactly what I want musically. The whole point to the stuff I started writing is for people to be vulnerable to the music. I have made people nearly piss themselves just at the changes in the music.
