Get Rock Bottom, though that might be a bit of a gamble because it will probably take a lot of time to grow on you since it is very slow and heavily psychedelic you just can't take it in all at once.

If you get that impression then get Dondestan since its a little more straightforward.

Anxious 09-04-2007 06:10 PM

Naw, Idaho are too dense with the electronics and whatnot.

Ida are better.

not really.
Ida are better.
haven't listened to them yet, but im planning on it.

Anxious 09-04-2007 06:23 PM

Idaho are too fancy and upbeat to be slowcore. I'm judging from The Lone Gunman and Three Sheets to the Wind.

It's quite catchy IMO. I like it better than the new CD

Damien Rice

Robert Crumb 09-04-2007 11:08 PM

Arthur Russell. He's better than your favorite cello-wielding, buddhist homosexual disco producer, that's for sure.

Gavin Bryars - Jesus Blood Never Failed Me Yet

My friend gave me this. It's basically a sample of a homeless man singing the words of the title repeated for 74 minutes while an orchestra plays behind it and then Tom Waits comes in and sings the same line about an hour into it. It's pretty awesome.

Anus Invader 09-05-2007 06:07 AM
