Janeway 03-01-2006 03:26 PM

Damn you!
I have to finish this stupid report on autoimmune disorders.
God...it's so boring.
And my partner is a total dunce. Friggen' A.

Janeway 03-01-2006 04:13 PM

The immune system’s purpose is to protect the body against harmful substances, or antigens. It has two baisic components, T lymphocytes, and antibodies. Antibodies attack antigens and weaken them so that they may be removed from the body by other means, while T lymphocytes directly attack the antigens and remove them from the body. It’s an essential part of the body, and with out it, we would have little to keep us from falling ill.
It doesn’t always work for us, though. Normally the immune system is able to decipher foreign tissues from “self-tissues”, but an autoimmune disorder will cause the immune system to destroy the body’s own tissue. This is caused by hypersensitive reactions where the immune system reacts to something it would normally ignore. It’s exact causes are unknown, but it is believed that certain bacteria and drugs play a large role in it. It is also believed that people with relatives who have developed autoimmune disorderes are more likely to develop them than other people.

i know a load of people at that college

only reason im going there is cos theres no music dept

RushHourSoul 03-01-2006 05:18 PM

I went for a university interview for Comtemporary Music Production. Its a degree from brighton university, but its hosted at sussex downs. Was supposed to stay for the campus tour but I had to leave, but at least I got the interview and written test done. Anyway yeah, im actually from Southampton/Bournemouth.

Corkofski 03-01-2006 05:20 PM

ah kool
were you in a little mobile classroom full of macs?

RushHourSoul 03-01-2006 05:24 PM

Naa was in a little recording studio-type thing. There was a big mixer and monitor, and a little soundproof-type room where the seperate interviews took place. it was in Evearsly house I think. and the teacher was .. Dagmar Evan-Jones, she was like french or something.

Corkofski 03-01-2006 05:26 PM

nice, we went through lewes I think.. Dunno the area very well. First time i'd been to brighton/easbourne.

Ive got quite an unlucky week next week.. two university interviews.. one in bournemouth, one canterbury. Thats not too bad, but the bournmouth one is on my birthday (7th march) and the canterbury is the day after. So not only is it two damn interviews in a row, its on my bday and I can't get extremely wasted that night.. ahh ****.
