this thread should have sticky links in the first posts to already-done-conversations-that-happen-all-the-time.

That conversation is bound to happen no matter what. I've personally been in that one conversation of Metallica vs. Megadeth hundreds of times and a few even in this thread.

That question of who is better will continue until nobody remembers who they are.

Kirk thinks DragonForce guitar players are the fastest he has seen.

I feel so dissapointed, he should listen to some Rusty Cooley, Vai, Petrucci or Necrophagist.

I know for a fact that he has atleast hear of Vai and Petrucci.

posted on the ultimate guitar website. I havent had a listen yet but its supposed to be very old school thrash sounding. the sound quality of the clips is REALLY bad.

Yuck, do not even try and watch the video. It's impossible to make anything out save a high pitched squeal. I'm about to listen to the mp3.

The mp3 is barely listenable, but it sounds like a power metal song haha. Very badass from what I can make out though.

The video quality is pure crap, I couldn't hear anything except for James vocals.

The song doesn't sound like Power Metal, well maybe the vocal combinations, it sounds more like a crossover song which is awesome.

wow, just listened, I dont even think i can judge it untill a better quality version comes out. It does sound pretty old school though. which I think is great. But it's real hard to get a feel for the song. I do like the vocals better than the other song though.

Reminded me of "Last Carress" for some reason.

That's what I was talking about. The vocal melodies in the chorus sounded power metal.

Yeah the first solo in the "new new song" has a similar style to the Hit The Lights solos.:thumb:

Personally I like Metallica's "The New Song" (the first one). I've seen some people who were like "ewww" but come on. St. Anger's downtuning + basically the Black album. That should make for something pretty sweet and cool.

Atleast Lars doesn't have to listen to Bob Rock on his drums anymore. I'm so glad that he has a good tone for his drums now.
