this saturday, september 23rd, virgin festival, can't wait.

nutty_bar 09-17-2006 08:37 PM

I saw the Pixies on Austin City Limits last night. I was watching football so all I watched was "Debaser" since it is one of their best songs IMO. I agree with pixiesfanyo, much better recorded than live.

Robert Crumb 09-17-2006 09:19 PM

They're all business up there, hardly playful or wry, but they sound fantastic. And seeing "Vamos" live was orgasmic.

Little Man being Erased 09-17-2006 09:27 PM

They're old as the hills. What do you expect?

Robert Crumb 09-17-2006 09:32 PM

I expected them to cybernetically enhanced robots made from a metallic alloy compound, one part adamantium, one part ****ing awesome. Is that unreasonable?

Eliminator 09-17-2006 09:33 PM

I thought they were good.

Little Man being Erased 09-17-2006 09:41 PM

I'm hoping to see them when they are just heads in jars. That would fucking rule.

Robert Crumb 09-17-2006 09:42 PM

Me too. If you're in a crowd with hundreds of Pixies fans, yo, it makes all the difference. TV can't capture that ****.

Heads in a jar would be cool, too.

pulseczar 09-17-2006 09:44 PM

I saw Pixies in 2004

sgrevs 09-17-2006 09:48 PM

I saw a bit of alive show by them on tv and they were pretty horrible, but can't say i'm a Pixies fan anyway.

Little Man being Erased 09-17-2006 09:58 PM

That's a cool avatar.

br3ad_man 09-17-2006 10:09 PM

I want to see the Pixies. Just because.

viscious 09-17-2006 10:45 PM

I've seen the pixies in 2004 and 2005 and they were amazing so I don't know what you people are talking about.

pixiesfanyo 09-17-2006 10:55 PM

I'm going to see Kayo Dot for the third time this year tomorrow.
i turned 18 on thursday of last week so this whole weekend has been a celebration. it was good.
Happy belated b-day, homeboy.

We just had our first real rehearsal as a band (and I as a bass player). It was really exciting. We need a keyboard player, though. Hey Alex, wanna transfer to Brown :naughty:?

If only the rest of us had so much free time on our hands. Get a job!

Robert Crumb 09-17-2006 11:23 PM
