They are BM like Dimmu Borgir is BM, as I see it.
Maybe I should look into them, I like Dimmu. (I like real BM too, or at least melodic/symphonic)

RiceMonster 10-27-2005 08:32 PM
Are they BM? Tojes was asking about them yesterday I think.
Not from what I've heard. I just call them "Extreme Metal".

That is really awesome. I'm so trying the change machine thing.

The Anarchist's cookbook has been around for ages. Same thing?

Cain 10-27-2005 09:00 PM

Oh, boy, another name change for the thread.

How are everyone's evenings? I have sacrificed work in the name of rereading "The Hunt for Red October," Tom Clancy's only coherent, character-based novel and therefore his best.

I really liked Patriot Games, I need to check that out sometimes.

Yeah, I think so. I already stole some Potassium Nitrate from my chemistry lab, so I'm so totally making a giant smokebomb this weekend. :p

I sacrificed work in the name of getting bored of it. :-\

As to anarchy, my friend and I made lighter grenades like Freshman year

Alas, I have only seen the movie "Patriot Games." I think Alec Baldwin made a better Jack Ryan in "HFRO" than Harrison Ford made.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-27-2005 09:15 PM

Has anyone ever made Bananadine? It sounds very cheap and easy. :-D

I'd like to alert you all to the grandiosity of the pit thread "you vs your parents" and the girl who thinks politics doesn't affect her life.

ugh

I just read the other day that Australia's gov't controls a good amount of their economic market. (or something like that)

I have no doubt. Most governments control more of the economy than the average person realizes.

EDIT: I can't wait for Jason to come online and argue with her as an Aussie.

RCA 10-27-2005 09:35 PM

Ooh, another new thread title?

My work night was the opposite, I was doing a 3 person workload by myself in a 9 hour shift. Time flew by.

Riva 10-27-2005 10:38 PM

I have to work tonight. How annoying. :(

Kurtz 10-27-2005 11:13 PM

What's a good first job?

The starting age for a job here in the States is 16 (not under the table)?

Not in a grocery store, and not in a fast food restaurant. Trust me.

You can get a work permit at 15.

I disagree with Jason, I think working at a grocery store is a great first experience because you will meet a wide range of people and be introduced to a lot of things you wouldn't otherwise.

Well, maybe so, but don't do it for 5 years. You go insane.

I'm coming up on my 5th year at a grocery store...I think. Maybe a little less. I liek the people I work with a lot, they're almost all musicians so it's really neat.

That sucks...if I didn't like everyone at my store it'd be different though I bet. I work Cashier/Grocery/Deli depending on the shift I snag.

I'm Service(Cashier)/Grocery/Fresh Produce. I like almost 90% of the store, but most of the management are bastards.

Such is usually the case, sadly. My old boss was a pimp though. He had a degree in Electrical Engineering, and totally respected me for working towards it. To boot he always told me how smart I was and how great I was and such, gave me random bonuses all the time. It's great to have a boss who appreciates you.

My new boss isn't bad either, he basically told me if I need a job ever, he'll hire me even if he can't afford me. Stuff like that is nice :)

P.S. Post 19k :D

Leper 10-27-2005 11:50 PM

I'm pissed off. I just talked to my cousin and he got laid off where we work. They didn't even give him any warning ahead of time or anything. Just told him that this was his last shift when he arrived. I can't stand unclassy people.

Layoffs are really lame :-\ He could probably file some sort of grievance for it though, I don't know though.

Riva 10-27-2005 11:57 PM

Was he part-time, full-time or casual?

Leper 10-28-2005 12:04 AM

Part-time. We work at a movie theater so everyone's part time pretty much. Except some of the managers and the projectionist.

Riva 10-28-2005 12:18 AM

Then he should have been entitled to a week's notice, or a termination package. He should follow it up.

Leper 10-28-2005 12:24 AM

Riva 10-28-2005 12:35 AM
What's a termination package?
A big payout of money, or a small box which contains Arnie (some assembly required).

Leper 10-28-2005 12:47 AM
A big payout of money, or a small box which contains Arnie (some assembly required).
 You open it up and Arnie pops out and says (in an Austrian accent of course) "You belong to me now!"

I'll let him know, but he probably won't really care.

A "traditional" first job here, which obviously doesnt pay much, is brochure distribution. At you least you can make one CD per day :p
