An aquaintance of mine said one of his friends managed to sneak in some recording equipment to a Tool show. He said 1200, but i'm pretty skeptical about it. I'm going to ask him see if it was true or not.

magicbus 10-03-2006 03:47 PM

My buddy sent me 3 videos of entire Tool sets, 5/11/06, 6/4/06, and 8/6/06. That's pretty cool since I missed the concert when they came by me.

unknownsoldier12 10-03-2006 03:49 PM

i would love to see another bootlegged TOoL show...

someone needs to post that shizz

magicbus 10-03-2006 03:57 PM

Actually I hadn't even watched the third one yet. This is fantastic. Stinkfist has some crazy backdrops.

Kage 10-03-2006 04:00 PM

I've been able to find a lot of audio bootlegs from the recent tour, but hardly any video.

magicbus 10-03-2006 04:01 PM

If you guys know of some way to post them (about 700 mb each), I can do that.

denboy 10-03-2006 06:05 PM

They're all available as torrents if you search isohunt.com

Kage 10-03-2006 06:07 PM

You can get them at demonoid.com too. I'm downloading the August 6th one right now.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-03-2006 06:10 PM

I am still in dire need of Opiate live/extended/audio.

Oh, and when I say dire need, I mean "it would be nice to have." :p

Isohunt searches demonoid too, hehe

I like Demonoid's interface better.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-03-2006 06:22 PM

Is there by any chance a bootleg of the 8/27 show?

Just out of curiosity, as I was at that one. :D

PS: I'm sick of the thread title. Any ideas?

magicbus 10-03-2006 06:40 PM

Kage the August 6 one probably has the best picture. I watched most of it earlier today, very cool stuff.

Darkness 10-03-2006 09:36 PM

New Zealand and Australia shows have been posted on Toolband.

Awesome, I'm looking forward to it.

Kage 10-04-2006 03:48 PM

I'm watching that bootleg now, and it's amazing. The video during Stinkfist is crazy. Jesus, the song is much better than on the recording.

It seems to me like Tool has tried to drop their enigmatic artsy cherade.

Why do you say that? When i saw them they gave me the impression on a very artisitc and show worthy band.

magicbus 10-04-2006 04:58 PM

Man the footage is so cool. You can see the whole stage and everything.

Check out Maynard during Jambi's guitar solo. He's crazy.

bebubly 10-04-2006 05:00 PM

do i need torrent software??

Their music and aura still has a lot of artistry to it, but so far there hasn't been any of the somewhat pretentious Lateraluspeak (ie, this song will open your mind). He opened the show saying "Stick your arms the fuck up like you just don't care" or something.

Maybe I just haven't gotten to that part yet.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-04-2006 05:38 PM

Manyard seems like he's just out there to do his job. He never said anything about opening our minds or anything. I recall him saying "Wake up you drunk biitches" once, though. :p

Kage 10-04-2006 05:44 PM

I recall on some old Lateralus era bootlegs Maynard would go on before songs, giving almost-preachy-but-not-quite monologues.

MrSigma 10-04-2006 05:44 PM

enima is a good album

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-04-2006 06:02 PM

I have a bootleg that features Maynard talking about King Crimson. "Those of you wise enough to arrive early for King Crimson, I thank you. Those of you who didn't should have to pay twice."

The little monologue before Pushi' on Salival is kind of pretentious.."Meet me on the other side?"

plz

Fuck yeah! My respect for Maynard just went up tenfold.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-04-2006 06:10 PM

I knew you'd like that, heh.

Oh, and what did you think of that version of Disposition/Reflection featuring Robert Fripp?

Syncratic 10-04-2006 07:52 PM

Jake...I need you to send that to me ASAP:

There was a difference? :p

I didn't listen closely, so I didn't really notice. I'll have to go back and do that.

ThePatient 10-04-2006 07:55 PM

I've gotten all of my Tool bootlegs off of Torrentspy, and I have quite a few. Right now I'm listening to a recording of 10,000 Days, and its really good quality, I recommend it. Hopefully someone recorded (audio or video, I'm not picky) of the DC show, its always cool to have bootlegs of shows you were at.
