 That's messed up.

Permanent Solution 08-30-2007 12:12 AM
Twice now I've gotten screwed over because the bookstore did not have in stock the textbook I needed for a class.
textbooks are a scam anyways

Nostalgia 08-30-2007 12:14 AM

Indeed, especially at the cost schools charge. A textbook for $100 goes for $50 on Amazon.

Kage 08-30-2007 12:20 AM

Yeah but I don't have time to have them shipped out to me.

LifeInABox 08-30-2007 12:26 AM

Photocopy someone else's and staple it. It would only cost $4.99 for the paper.

Nostalgia 08-30-2007 12:26 AM

Grand idea.

Kage 08-30-2007 12:32 AM

I don't think I'll do that.

Angmar 08-30-2007 12:35 AM

You could make the money to pay for it in the time it would take to do all of that

Probably more money.

LifeInABox 08-30-2007 12:45 AM

Maybe so...

antihippy 08-30-2007 12:52 AM

get them second hand.

Tyler 08-30-2007 12:59 AM

getting them second hand depends on if they've been changed in the last year. they revise textbooks a lot.

Permanent Solution 08-30-2007 01:04 AM

This is because:

Ah, sleep beckons me. Goodnight to all.

Np: Morbid Angel - Immortal Rites.

FatalEnergy 08-30-2007 01:25 AM

Luckily I think I got all mine without a problem.

Although I should look up the editions just in case.

i am the robots 08-30-2007 01:39 AM

so i started talking to some scene bitty via jokingly yelling "add me as your myspace friend" at her at the local lan center.
I went to sleep last night at like 6 am for some reason.
I inspired you lunch.

I slept like three hours.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-30-2007 01:55 AM

Jelle you are such a bad influence, soon R&M will become nocturnal if you aren't stopped.

suspect 08-30-2007 01:56 AM

I slept zero hours. The autist that I'm watching was having an "episode" :\.

HE ALREADY GOT ME

also, i took out money from my bank account to buy pot and alcohol, and therefore didn't have enough money to buy text books, so now my parents are getting them for me.

C.O.A. 08-30-2007 02:45 AM

Permanent Solution 08-30-2007 02:47 AM
moocher
whatever, theyre the ones who are forcing me to stay home and go to a local school, and work to save up money to transfer to temple.

C.O.A. 08-30-2007 03:05 AM

i was just busting your balls dude.

AA-12 08-30-2007 03:07 AM

I started working at the funeral home today. I got a good idea of the layout how the schedule works. Kind of depressing though, as there was a mom and kid there about the kid's dead father :\

C.O.A. 08-30-2007 03:08 AM

okay, i'm going to bed now.

peace.

AA-12 08-30-2007 03:09 AM

'night

So, what's everyone up to this morning?

antihippy 08-30-2007 03:35 AM

it's 7.30pm right now.

doing my english homework.

superpeer 08-30-2007 03:56 AM

Working at the morgue would be kind of interesting.

AA-12 08-30-2007 03:58 AM

I might be getting deeper into it. The more I learn about it, the more I want to. As depressing as it seems, it's actually quite fulfilling and meaningful, which is what I really want.

superpeer 08-30-2007 04:05 AM

I wouldn't do it to be fulfilling and meaningful but it seems like something that doesn't require social skills.

antihippy 08-30-2007 04:14 AM

you would need pretty good social skills to face the relatives.

superpeer 08-30-2007 04:17 AM

I guess. :(

AA-12 08-30-2007 04:19 AM

Yeah, 99% of the funeral directors time is helping out the family and discussing the actual funeral.

superpeer 08-30-2007 04:20 AM

What about touching dead people?!

Apocalyptic Raids 08-30-2007 04:20 AM
Yeah, 99% of the funeral directors time is helping out the family and discussing the actual funeral.
It would require a lot of tact in that regard. What exactly do you do there?

AA-12 08-30-2007 04:22 AM
It would require a lot of tact in that regard. What exactly do you do there?
You just simply make them feel as good as possible. Weird question, haha.
What about touching dead people?!
Yeah that's always a part too, heh.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-30-2007 04:27 AM

Oh. I was just asking what you're doing there, nothing to do with the first part of that post. I'll re-phrase:

What is your role at the moment?

^_^

Ah, alright. Right now i'm just doing odd job type of stuff whenever I feel like coming in and learning about the way everything is handled. I'm not working directly with bodies or families because i'm not licensed or employed.

antihippy 08-30-2007 04:36 AM

so you're doing an apprenticeship?
