The only Dismember that's really different is Massive Killing Capacity
|
Truth. And it's damn good as well.

Hallucigenia is one of my favourite tracks they've done |
Casket Garden is the one for me.
|
I listened to Behemoth - Pandemonic Incantations. It didn't really impress me all that much.
|
Thats because Behemoth is meh.

I read somewhere that they "Rule All", I can't seem to remember where though. |

Demigod is their best album. I've heard Pandemonic isn't that good, but if I heard it I wouldn't really know what to think of it because Behemoth was a black metal band back then, and I have no idea how to judge black metal. |
Demigod sucks ass.
|
I liked Demigod and The Apostasy, but I think The Apostasy was better.
|
I can't get past the horrid vocal layering and they try way to hard to be technical and br00tal.
|
I liked Demigod and The Apostasy, but I think The Apostasy was better.
IDK, all of the songs on Demigod are good, but The Apostasy has a couple that are like "Why didn't they scrap this one?" |
I think it's vice versa.
|
Actually, I think the only bad track on The Apostasy is Be Without Fear. The rest are good.
And I personally think every song on Demigod is a 4-5 |
I don't think the vocal layering on Demigod was that conspicuous. Perhaps why I like the album so much and were put off by the weakness of Nergal's voice on The Apostasy. One of the few things that really bothers me about The Apostasy is Inner Sanctum; contrary to popular belief, I think Warrel Dane is an awful singer.
|
He was really, really bad on that track.
|
I completly agree. His vocals are terrible.
|
He was really, really bad on that track.
He's really, really bad in Nevermore too. And his voice in that song didn't fit in the least. |
Do you like The Apostasy, Shads?
|
He's really, really bad in Nevermore too. And his voice in that song didn't fit in the least.
I like his vocals in Nevermore, but they were totally out of place and forced (to say the least) in Inner Sanctum. His voice just didn't sound good on the track, even if you separated it from the rest of the track it'd still sound like ***. He did some weird technique on it, it didn't sound quite like his singing with Nevermore. |
Actually, I think the only bad track on The Apostasy is Be Without Fear. The rest are good.

The vocal layering isn't even the worst part, the worst is that they're ultra-processed, safe, commercialized "extreme metal" for glossy magazine photoshoots.
|
I have to agree with Dargon. I couldn't believe Nergal was on the cover of Decibel, I think it was. The music is decent, but shits weak.
But then again, Glen Benton was on the cover of Terrorizer, but that's different. |
At least Deicide used to be good.
|
The vocal layering isn't even the worst part, the worst is that they're ultra-processed, safe, commercialized "extreme metal" for glossy magazine photoshoots.
the only thing making it any more safe than any other extreme metal is the relatively unhostile lyrics. But seriously, I bet that less than half of the people who buy the stuff even read the lyrics anyway. Yeah, it is pretty commercial, there's no denying that. I don't know where you're getting ultra-processed from, though. At least they're doing what they like, Nergal goes on like, epic journeys throughout the world for inspiration, he doesn't look in the "unholy grave" for ideas that have been used a million times. And **** magazines, who the **** buys them? |
And **** magazines, who the **** buys them?
Shadows Fall and Trivium fans looking for something heavier and more fucking insane~! |
the only thing making it any more safe than any other extreme metal is the relatively unhostile lyrics.
No, they're friendly, safe death metal for kiddies who want fun, catchy riffs and a lot of blast beats to headspin to.
At least they're doing what they like,
What they like is insignificant. I care about what I like.
Nergal goes on like, epic journeys throughout the world for inspiration
Oh goodie, National Geographic goes death metal. |

Hey now, watch it with Shadows Fall. |
Oh goodie, National Geographic goes death metal.
And **** magazines, who the **** buys them?
Apparently lots and lots of people if they're still being sold. :p
At least Deicide used to be good.
Ehhh...Deicide used to be OK. Now they're just mediocre.. |
Ehhh...Deicide used to be OK. Now they're just mediocre..
I guess I shouldn't be suprised if Legion is much to involved for you to appreciate, but you don't even heil the s/t? You're worse than I thought. |
Hey now, watch it with Shadows Fall.
are you defending shadows fall? |

The s/t Decide is one of my favorite dm records  |

C'mon guys, The Stench of Redemption isn't that bad. Legion is f'pwn. Haven't heard s/t yet, unfortunately.
|
The s/t Decide is one of my favorite dm records
same, but Legion is a superior recording in nearly every aspect. |
C'mon guys, The Stench of Redemption isn't that bad
It's worse than Scars of the Crucifix, in my opinion. More of the same. |
It's worse than Scars of the Crucifix, in my opinion. More of the same.
hell no, scars of the crucifix is horrible. TSOR takes the awesomeness of the first 2 records and adds power metal solos to them. Honestly, it doesn't get much better than that lol |
