the concept of emo, or the concept of generalizing people into such groups? I came to realize that I myself was doing quite a bit of the latter about a month ago. I dropped it all. Decided words like emo or prep or even something like punk don't matter for crap.

It's all pretty silly. The stereotypes that is. I mean I don't know anything about the music; I don't listen to it. But the whole idea of everybody calling people emo because they dress "emo", dressing "emo", all the bullshit about cutting, etc.....It's all pretty stupid.
