I am so fucking pumped. One of my friends and I have been constantly talking about it for weeks.
Have enough bass looping?

But It's nice to listen to. Quite relaxing.

The ting's really fill in the sound.
You can never have enough bass looping going.

He's got a fucking powerful looper, too. I'd kill babies for one of those, but it's worth more than my looper, my ME-50B, and my head put together.

One Groovin Clown 10-26-2006 09:34 PM

Me and my friend had managed to steal on of the 8 foot tall Borat stands.

It's now in his Dorm Room.

One Groovin Clown 10-26-2006 09:35 PM

I use the ME-50b looper occaisioanlly.

It just doesn't record for long enough :(

Efrim 10-26-2006 09:36 PM

Ben, it's good, but I prefer yours. I'll check out some of the other songs too.

User Name 10-26-2006 09:36 PM

I still regret not buying that RC 20.

Dude, the ME-50B blows for looping.

You need one of these:

That's so unbelievably hardcore.

The thing I like, though, is that I kind of see it as an echo of the stuff I'll be able to do as I progress. Above all else, his song structuring is far superior to mine.

I adore his tone, though. Seriously.

Efrim 10-26-2006 09:39 PM

Ben, you're much better at recording then he is too. Alot of these are pretty fuzzy.

One Groovin Clown 10-26-2006 09:41 PM

I'm quite enjoying his stuff.

I'm listening to the E-bow sample.

wtf is an E-bow?
Ben, you're much better at recording then he is too. Alot of these are pretty fuzzy.
Yeah. If you watch any of his videos, you'll notice he's using a video camera for it and then just extracting the audio from it. A very lazy way to do it.

The Brad 10-26-2006 09:41 PM

1 month until I see Cat Power...?

E-Bow is a vibrator for your guitar which produces artificial sustain.

Aaah, that explains it. It's good, very enjoyable, and his arranging skills are very impressive.

Akira 10-26-2006 09:42 PM

Ben, how is the E-bow working on bass? On the website they say it is harder than guitar.
Aaah, that explains it. It's good, very enjoyable, and his arranging skills are very impressive.
Yeah. He's using the Looperlative. :upset: I want one.
Ben, how is the E-bow working on bass? On the website they say it is harder than guitar.
Oh, it is, for sure. You've got to compensate for string spacing big time. I also find it's a lot more effective on fretless because when doing slides on a fretted bass, you pick up a lot of the fret-noise.

I like it, though. I mostly use it to add atmospheric texture to songs.

I just realized I have a lot of toys. Am I anywhere in the running for coolest/best setup in the bass forum yet? :upset:

Efrim 10-26-2006 09:46 PM

I want a good looper too, id like to add more bass lines and guitar riffs in front of my main one sometimes.
I want a good looper too, id like to add more bass lines and guitar riffs in front of my main one sometimes.
Yeah. If I ever go crazy and spend a lot of money again (likely), I'll sell you my RC-50 at a good price, because sometime next year if I don't get a custom, I'm gonna buy one of those Looperlatives.

What toys do you have? You've got the looper, and the Ebow, and the multieffects rig (I think), anything else?

One Groovin Clown 10-26-2006 09:48 PM

I want a e-bow.

I use my effects from time to time. (quite Toolish I guess)

An e-bow would be cool to add to the mix.

How much do they go for?

(fuck Google)

irishslappop 10-26-2006 09:48 PM

i have a pretty basic rig going, but then again, i dont really plan on doing anythign with bass in the future. unless i get out of this twon and start a real band.

You still considering the 8 string?
What toys do you have? You've got the looper, and the Ebow, and the multieffects rig (I think), anything else?
Well, I've got those, plus my unusually coloured Ibanez, my GK400RB, and my Epifani T-310 when it arrives next week.

I paid $150 for mine. I think they're actually more expensive, but the guy gave me a discount because I bought at the same time I bought my looper.

BenJammin 10-26-2006 09:50 PM
What color?
Like, death-black. :p They're supposed to be a red-brown colour, but mine definitely isn't.

And, yeah, I'm still considering the 8 string, but my decision on how many strings I need is always wavering, so I dunno. I'm terrible like that.

I got it for, like $650, taxes in. If I sell it, for you, I'd let it go at $450-ish, depending shipping cost.

Akira 10-26-2006 09:53 PM

That insane Ben. They should offer them in that color.

Brad, whatcha selling?

On the back, in super bright light, there's almost a purple streak running through it. I'm confused. It's definitely still a mahogany body, because I've chipped it in a couple of spots and can see the wood.

I would defnitely be interested. Good thing it's later though, I'm using up my resources for a cab, more pedals, and Jandek CDs.

Heres my setup:

Soon to be with a TRB6
