In my current band only one member has gigged and me, the singer/guitarist and the drummer have never gigged.

So the drummer goes about looking for a gig and says that the slots at this pub are 20 mins on some band night and so 20 mins sounds great, right? Well he decides to have a word with the organiser and despite being unknown and never gigged he manages to swing us the headline spot for the night and an hour slot! LMAO, we only have like 2 riffs we've written and no structure. Let the good times roll.

Good luck to you man just bust your *** this could make or break your band... Hell my first gig we didn't even get to play the owner ended up giving our half our to this other band who sounded bloody awful and I'm pretty tolerant of live gigs and such... Hope it all goes well for you...

My computer crashed last night. :upset: I hope my hard drives are okay, because my power supply is definitely a goner (literally started smoking) and my motherboard wasn't acting normally on startup (didn't recognize the brand of my CPU anymore). Then it just shut off.

Anything important on there?

Yeah. Quite a bit. I was actually in the process of weeding out the dumb stuff and transferring the important things over to my 1TB external.

About 250gb of music (my personal recordings included - yes, my comp entry too)
A bunch of homework assignments and course notes that I took
All of my bootleg programs
A bunch of pictures of my family and guitars

I've heard that they are good, but I couldn't tell ya. The SamAsh near me has one StingRay and there's no point in trying to form an opinion based on guitars at Guitar Center (with 50-year old dead strings, horrible intonation, ridiculously high action, and lots of kids blaring there versions of "Eruption" in the background.

I dunno never like stingrays. I mean, they get a nice tone but they don't feel comfortable to play at all imo and they are definitely not worth the $1000+ list price for sure. I'd take a Schecter or especially a Carvin over it any day

I'm not much of a 4-string guy, but the tone and feel of the Stingray is phenomenal, IMO. I agree that it's not $1k+ worthy (I rarely find a bass that is), but it's certainly $400 worthy - and that's what I paid.

Hopefully less than a month until it's complete... unless we get delayed, which we sort of are, but still, it's entirely do-able.

Awesome so that means in three weeks the leaks will be out and... Nah I do want to check that out though when it's all done...

Well, if it were released through a label, maybe it could possibly leak. But this is a true indie release.

Yeah I kinda figured I just think it's funny and sad at the same time that things like that happen but usually it's just a gimmick by the producer to get more sales... "What 2 songs were leaked out of 12? This is an outrage"

Sounds surprisingly like my first band. We'd jam, smoke some herb, go to a pizza house, bring pizza back to practice, eat, smoke, play with fireworks and then jam again.

I'm replacing the power supply today with a spare we have, so hopefully it will turn on. If not, I can throw the drives in my dad's tower to recover them, or at least the files I want to recover.
