I'm 95% sure it's not, no reference in the booklet and no song of the same name found on M-A that would be covered by darkthrone.

EDIT: ****, I thought we were talking about F.O.A.D. Stormrider is right.

i am the robots 11-15-2007 06:28 PM

 I was gonna say, "It was on the flyers for The Cult Is Alive..."

NemesisDivina 11-15-2007 06:33 PM

Thanks Jammie.

Heh, it was an honest mistake, right Anton?

Silenius 11-15-2007 06:55 PM

Yeah, all these abbreviations as Darkthrone album names gets confusing.

Nostalgia 11-15-2007 07:42 PM

ugh oh gice, i now question what anton is truly listening to.

Eliminator 11-15-2007 07:48 PM

probably NON-ANALOG MUSICS

Apocalyptic Raids 11-15-2007 08:12 PM

albums that aren't on tape.

Stormrider 11-15-2007 08:16 PM

Man, this Samael album is great.

NP Poison Infiltration
how about you all stfu

I still need to get my hands on the new Darkthrone. I only heard the sampler that was put of Canadien Metal before the album was released.
It's a horrid piece of [non] art.
Man, this Samael album is great.

NP Poison Infiltration
which one? i heard Worship Him was really good, i'm going to get that one.
the previous X/10 discussion ranked a 9/10 on my "funny scale". i can't wait any more, I'm downloading FOAD now.

anyone like Arckanum? i got an album by them today, its amazing. It has some calm parts and then a lot of really aggressive parts. i like the atmosphere of it.

Riva 11-15-2007 08:51 PM
which one?
At a guess, I'd think Blood Ritual which has the song Poison Infiltration on it. But ya know, that's just me.

Stormrider 11-15-2007 08:52 PM

Blood Ritual.

oh, i'm sorry. i wasn't in the mood to go do some MA research when stormrider was just going to tell me about 5 seconds later.

Riva 11-15-2007 08:56 PM

4 minutes later, man.

And seriously, does it take you that long to load up google and just search "Poison Infiltration"?

rattlehead42147 11-15-2007 09:02 PM

/lazy. i'm going to get Worship Him or that one now though.
FOAD is downloading, i'll contribute my opinion on it tomorrow.

edit: not sure if i'm the only one who hears it, but there's definitely a Mercyful Fate influence on tracks like "The Church of Real Metal" on FOAD. i'm liking the album so far.

Silenius 11-15-2007 11:26 PM
ugh oh gice, i now question what anton is truly listening to.
Pretty much anything tbh. I already stated that I'm tired of most black metal and will listen to pretty much anything these days.

de svarta trollkarlarna 11-15-2007 11:28 PM

which 'ambient' bm bands do you guys recomend? (like summoning, even if no band is so good as they are :p)

isn't that more or less the entire point of FOAD?

Vinterriket, Paysage d'Hiver, Elffor, Forest Silence, Mortiis, Darkspace.

About Arckanum, very average imo.

i am the robots 11-15-2007 11:37 PM

I don't like how hardcore influenced black metal is with the gay screamo vocals omg.

Invicta_Veritas 11-15-2007 11:55 PM

Rofl.
isn't that more or less the entire point of FOAD?
i just wanted to put it in a way that was polite. basically to avoid posts like "hey asshole are you a moron? they sound nothing like mercyful fate!"
and yes i believe that was the point. i listened to the whole album last night, it is pretty damn good. and anyone who says Panzerfaust is the last good Darkthrone album is wrong imo.
FOAD > Panzerfaust

Tyler 11-16-2007 08:48 AM

I mean, regardless, find me a black metal band that isn't even slightly influenced by MF and I'd be surprised.

publicastration 11-16-2007 11:41 AM

The new Darkthrone is not bad.

plane 11-16-2007 11:47 AM

Not that good either.

Invicta_Veritas 11-16-2007 11:47 AM

The new Darkthrone is absolutely horrendous. Any reference otherwise is blasphemous.

im pretty sure all you've heard by them is ABITNS. So compared to that yes, it is horrible. It's not meant to be the next ABITNS anyway if you couldn't tell by listening.

i am the robots 11-16-2007 03:08 PM

The new Darkthrone slays. A Blaze In The Northern Sky is overrated.

Ravishing Grimness is really underrated though.

FatalEnergy 11-16-2007 05:51 PM

They lost me after Panzerfaust.
