How about... what maiden song can you live without hearing ever again? Mine is definatly "The Apparition". WORST MAIDEN SONG EVAR
Well, for awhile I thought Run to the Hills was horrible, but it's growing on me. So I guess I don't really hate any of their songs. |
the thin line between love and hate, its the only song of brave new world that i dont like
Totally agree with that. The opening to Rock in Rio is one the best openings to a cd ever IMO :thumb: |
I don't like run to the hills much.
|
Yeah I didn't like it much for awhile either. Then I saw a live dvd of it and respected it more.

600th post.

I just like the energy that it spurts out when the guitar solo starts after the hallowed singing. :chug:

He's probably an elitist. And the Maiden song I could listen to for the rest of my life is "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner". Although "Aces High" is my favourite song, ROTM is varied enough for me to never get sick of it. :thumb: |
o.k if you had to choose one maiden song to listen to for the rest of your life
what would it be? hallowed be thy name for me
one song would get very boring very quickly - even if you had to chose one album you'd enventually get sick of it, so dont let yourself get into the situation where youve only got 1 song 2 listen 2!!! oh n btw ollievu ur a felcher |
i cant wait till they anounce uk tour dates
if they play murders in the rue morgue and revaltions i will love them forever
ideal setlists for early days tours? wrathchild, phantom of the opera, run to the hills, number of the beast, hallowed be thy name, revelations, killers, charlotte the harlot, strange world, prowler, iron maiden, invaders, murders in the rue morgue, the trooper, flight of icarus, running free, where eagles dare. not in any particular order tho...and i sooooo hope they play more than jus festival dates in the UK - otherwise i'll hav 2 go all the way 2 download festival |

i think its overrated, there are so many maidens songs that are much better than run to the hills, but all you normally get on compilations cds (and other cds of the nature) is run to the hills |

very true, run to the hills just happens to be the song that just about anyone (including people who dont even like metal) has heard |
mother russia

Yes, probably beside 'Two minutes to midnight', it was the first maiden song I recall hearing. I tend to skip it when it comes up on the CD, I've heard it too much. To whoever asked about one Maiden song the rest of your life..I'd say 'Aces High' or 'Hallowed be thy name'. I can never choose just one... |

Probably. I like the avater though. |
why thank you

Help ! Maiden Fans !
-------------------- Adrian is one of my favourite guitarists and I'd really like to copy him. I mean, I tried a lot to sound like him...........not his equipment, his playing style. I know these things used a lot in H's playing: 1. Guitar harmonies 2. Great Tapping parts 3. Bluesy sound 4. Pinch harmonics 5. Brilliant control of tremolo Maybe you can add other specific "tricks" of Mr.H to help me. I'll be glad if you help me. And also, what scales does he use in improvising except blues scales??? Anyone??? *confused* Thanks a lot :) |
I know that someone in this thread found on Kazaa an Adrian Smith Guitar Lesson, and that person said that after watching that lesson they found some of H's solo's easier. So I reckon that's probs your best bet.

Dave's definatly the best guitarist outta the three.
But H is just so **** cool  |

------ Thanks for that, I actually have that video. It's nothing special, except a few nice licks from his "psycho motel" stuff. :) And to me Dave is a bit boring. No offence to anyone. It's just my opinion. Adrian is my hero :) |
Adrian is a lot more exciting to watch on stage, especially before he left the band (he doesn't seem so agile since he put on a ton of weight).
Also, Adrian always played exciting guitars when Davey stuck to the strat. H has gone for the strat now aswell, though apparantly he played a Jackson Flying V on the DOD tour. One of my mental pictures that defines a guitar hero is picturing H on stage with his Lado Earth on LAD. (Live After Death, not Live At Donnington [though the later is the superior album]) |
Dave is my favourite by far. Adrian doesn't do as much for me as Dave.
