I'm looking for some good Viking Metal/Folk Metal along the lines of Ensiferum and Finntroll.
I've also been trying to find some more bands along the lines of Kalmah, Norther, COB, etc... |

Iron Maiden aren't Power Metal. Try Galloglass and Dungeon, two of my favourite PM bands. |
Can anyone recommend me some bluesy folk like music like Pentangle or some of Led Zeppelin's folkish songs like Battle of Evermore?
|
I am doing a book project for school and need to get some songs that relate to the book. It doesn't matter what genre the music it is, any kind would be fine. Some stuff I'm looking for:
Eerie songs, songs about killing animals, angry songs, songs about wanting to go home, songs of despair, songs that lead up to a climax, songs about fear, etc. By the way, the book is Lord of the Flies. So if you've ever read it then I'd appreciate any suggestions you have. Thanks. |

EDIT: Hmmm.....try The Dillinger Escape Plan's "Baby's First Coffin", as its kinda climatic, and can sparsely apply to the book. Or the band Pig Destroyer, because the name obviously fits. Possibly Opeth's "Bleak", as that was what the situation was. The list can go on, of my half-assed song suggestions. |
I sent out a Porcupine Tree Sampler to someone yesterday. If you give me your email I can send it to you as well.
Can someone reccomend some Butch Walker and some Wildheart songs for me?
|
Could someone please recommend me some Anthrax songs that they are likely to play at a show? They are opening for a Priest show I'm going to next week and I don't want to look like too much of a poser while they are playing haha.
