Is Hatebreeder good?

I've been thinking about getting this album. So, should I?

I personally think Hatebreeder is the best album by a decent margin, but many will argue Follow The Reaper is better. As a huge powermetal fan it makes sense I like Hatebreeder more, It's a much more powermetalish album.

I honestly cant decide btwn the two. I love all the tracks on both.

I can't peticularly say I love all the tracks on FTR. Everytime I Die, Mask of Sanity, and Bodom After Midnight are all just ok to me. Hatebreeder on the other hand has no track I can't say I adore.

Bodom After Midnight is my favorite song by Bodom...So is Bed Of Razors....

Bed Of Razors has potential but I really wish it had a shred solo. I love the use of octaves those during that sweet lead, it was my inspiration to the lead in 1 of my songs you might have noticed.

Bodom After Midnight is ok, I don't see anything special about it.

Agreed, I didn’t like the vocals either. Though, that was the only part of the song that I didn’t enjoy. I thought the solo was a little weak too.

They aren’t Britney’s vocals, it’s a female (Jonna Kosonen) who used to be part of a Finnish pop duo called Nylon Beat.

Yeah, it’s pretty sad. I remember when Jessica Simpson was just being discovered, and everyone thought her song was so unbelievably catchy and hip and new. Turns out the entire song – with the exception of her vocals and “lyrics” – was a ripoff of the song Jack and Diane.

I disagree, I don’t think punk is meaningless. Most of the really good punk, especially the older stuff is about being political and active for what you believe in and if I might be so bold as to say… “stickin’ it to the man”.

Why do you ask if I'm having a good day? I just got back from buying a few CDs plus a mic for my computer, so I can now record music onto my CPU. I am in a pretty good mood. :)

I agree that it's so hard to pick just five. I love every song off of every album they've ever put out, so it's quite a challenge.

Yes I agree with Leah, you can't pick just five. Also I like some better when I'm in certain moods.

After listening to Arch Enemy enough, I have concluded in no way can In Flames be called Melodeath. Arch Enemy is Melodeath, they are death metal, they are melodic. In Flames is just melodic, besides the vocals, which are actually quite weak, they have nothing death about them. Arch Enemy has many "Deathy" parts in their songs. In Flames is just heavy and extremely melodic, I don't really know what to call them.

Good choice for #1 Shattered Future ;)

Kissing the Shadows if my favorite song too. I think there is no questions asked when it comes to that being their best song. It completely destroys everything else they have in terms of melody, riffs, solos, keyboard, and drums.
