Well I don't really, but my Desktop has a huge hard drive and can hold all my music and files and such, as appose to my laptop which only has a 40gig hd and cannot come close to being able to hold all my crap, so I plan on using it for taking places and typing notes on and stuff. In college it's pretty important to be able to have a portable computer, but it's HD is just too small to live off of.

Well, i dont have the space problem. My Dell has like 173gigs, and 102 still free.

It's not important at all to have a portable computer. In 3 years at my old school I never took my laptop outside of my room/apartment.

eh, yeah i guess so. But one of my teachers told us to bring out laptops to class. Whilst the others all said only paper notes.
So ill unplug it like once a week

tbh having a large music collection doesn't mean you're not a picky listener...there's a lot of good music in existence.
