If you want to do something persuasive you could write about the war in Iraq, and try to persuade the reader for or against it?

Edit: A few other ideas for persuasive writing.

Should AIDS research receive more funding?
What should be done to end Poverty?
Is it right to eat animals?
Do Religious Minorities offer diversity or threaten security?
How can we decrease Youth Violence?
Should Tobacco Companies be responsible for Smokers' Health?

I can go on listing if you need

But can it be on anything? Or something english-y?


How about intelligent design (creationism) vs. evolution?

I mean, I don't believe in religion or anything, but, well... the human kidney's just too fantastically complex for me to believe it happened randomly
