TV on the Radio - Dear Science,

Pretty awesome after three listens. The rapping is pretty wtf though.

overturned 09-09-2008 04:39 PM

Nothing has really stood out tbh.
Its a slow week really.

rocking my mother****ing socks off

YourBiggestFan 09-09-2008 10:06 PM

Unicorns - who will cut our hair when we're gone?
This is so much better than anything Islands have done.

Broken Social Scene- Bee Hives
Market Fresh is as good as anything on their s/t. Gotta listen to this on a pair of headphones or some nice speakers though.

Also, the new Walkmen, other than about two songs, is largely meh. I may change my mind, but thats my opinion of it after about a week.

djtdub105 09-10-2008 12:33 AM

Soundtrack to I'm Not There

All Dylan covers

okay 09-10-2008 12:43 AM

yeah Market Fresh is amazing, agreed.... the end when he's like "im frozen im frozen im frozen im frozen ....." is the best. but tbh the rest of the cd i found pretty boring. also sweboy is that a new BBML album?

okay 09-10-2008 11:19 AM

Liars - Drum's Not Dead

definitely, like at least top 10 for me

cbmartinez 09-10-2008 11:22 AM

album is too good

also dear science doesn't have that comma at the end

okay 09-10-2008 11:29 AM

huh?

cbmartinez 09-10-2008 11:36 AM

wasn't talking to you BITCH

cbmartinez 09-10-2008 11:39 AM

but i was talking to you about the liars album, that album is ill. Which one should I get next?

okay 09-10-2008 11:39 AM

haha whoops

im not sure. i haven't heard their new stuff much, but from the bit i heard it doesnt sound like the drum intensive stuff they did on Drums Not Dead. They Threw Us In A Trench And Stuck A Monument On Top is an awesome album, but its more post punk revivalist, although it still has some of those heavily rhythmic aspects that make Drums Not Dead so ****ing awesome.

Anus Invader 09-10-2008 11:43 AM

i like the s/t...especially the opener

i dont even have any other ones but i wannag et Drums not dead

okay 09-10-2008 11:53 AM

probably their best, but i havent heard the s/t

in my opinion, the highlight of They Threw Us In A Trench And Stuck A Monument On Top would have to be the 30 minute track at the end.

cbmartinez 09-10-2008 11:53 AM

yah i've heard the other stuff is different than dnd but yeah im gonna dl the s/t and they threw us thanks for the recc

Jabvier 09-10-2008 02:32 PM

Mischief Brew / Joe Jack Talcum - Photographs from the Shoebox

I enjoy this folksy version of Dean's Dream, but not as much as the original. One of my favorite Dead Milkmen songs, though.

Eliminator 09-10-2008 04:13 PM

the band - the band

ugh such a good album

levon helm is my dude

Knee Grow 09-10-2008 04:15 PM

Verdure - Telescope Dreampatterns
Tom Carter - Skyline Grinder

YourBiggestFan 09-10-2008 11:32 PM

The new Deerhunter. . . is actually really good. I was never a fan of Cryptograms, but the new album just works. A weird clash of like, 60'sish reverb and shoegazer.

Apocalyptic Raids 09-11-2008 04:05 AM

Jesu - Why Are We Not Perfect
Justice - Planisphere
Motley Crue

sgrevs 09-11-2008 07:20 AM

Hot Chip - The Warning
Nas - Illmatic
White Rabbits - Fort Nightly

Anus Invader 09-11-2008 01:46 PM

{{{Sunset}}} - Bright Blue Dream

thiiiis is really good. when i heard about it initially i got the impression it was an ambient/drone album and was like ehh, but this is beautiful and engaging stuff

honourosis 09-11-2008 02:53 PM

ablum is pretty good. Man's Heart Complaint is amazing though.
