I think it's pretty bad, today being September 11th, and it's also the second day of my town's big and famous Air Show. I'm not one of these people who tries to not let anything happen on days were tragedies have occured, but an air show on this day isn't exactly one of the best ideas. It could have been any other weekend this Summer.
I wouldnt of minded going to that.

My brothers went yestoday, i didnt even know it was on this weekend, i thaught it was soon though.

Honestly, 4 years on, except those people who are imediatly affected over it, arnt gonna make a big deal over it. Apart from the news, who say it all the time, i just think, for the next hundred years are they gonna say it on the news

ChodaBoy 09-11-2005 09:43 AM

Its like WW2 celebrations, surely they are going to give those up soon?
Most people involved in that are already six feet under, or laid to rest at sea.

Jom 09-11-2005 09:44 AM

My uni has this community blog thing where you can write entries. Usually it's for advertising events going on and stuff like that, but people use it to vent or what have you. Some girl was like, "omg 2day is September 11th, does any1 else find it hard 2 believe that it's ben 4 years since the terrorists attacks? Maybe I'm the only one, but it just boggles my mind....It doesn't seem like it's been that long."

I was the first to respond, and I said that I didn't find it hard to believe, and I got a slew of "omg unpatriot go 2 Canada" comments.

Needless to say, I wouldn't piss on these people if they were on fire.

Man, I hate my uni.

Angry Balled Fists! 09-11-2005 09:44 AM

On an unrelated note, I'm thinking of emblazoning my schoolbag this year with Israel patches, pro-American, pro-capitalist messages etc. just to piss off the ultra-liberal folk, of which there is everyone.
Walk around with a swastika armband. And if they say anything, ask if this is a free country or not. That'll wind 'em up.

Not that I advocate nazi-ism.

I'm just experimenting with the fabled 'alternate play order' to Lateralus by Tool. http://www.angelfire.com/ma4/question/insight7.html

It's quite chilling and thought-provoking. I must get stoned and do this sometime...

Arucard 09-11-2005 10:02 AM

Tool suck, and they are not clever or original. End of.

Hi guys.

Untitled 09-11-2005 10:03 AM

Lol at myspace...

Somebody sent a bullitine around with pictures of 9/11, one was that stupid refenforcment strut that looked like a crucifix, and one was the smoke and theres a "devi"l in the smoke like in clouds, and stuff. Anyway at the end it says "PLEASE REP0ST THiS F0R ALL 0F THE PE0PLE WH0 HAVE DiED. THEY W0ULD D0 THE SAME F0R Y0U" WTF? its not like the dead people went to war for us, its not like they new they was gonna fly into the building before hand, but they thaught "ill go to work today, maybe ill be seen as an american hero" also, they had no chioce but to die if they was above the flame, they would of proberly burnt or choked if the building didnt fall down. Most stupid thing ive read in ages.

Its not a myspace rant, its a rant about how the 9/11 thing is now old, and people should get over it, and how people think that the people in the towers are heros, i dunno why they had no chioce but to die realy.

You don't need to like this country to show respect. You don't need to like this country to stand up to the pledge every morning.

Theirs a fine line between respect and love and you guys should go watch a soccer game right now or something.

Well I hate to be blunt but the United States is alot more potent then any other country in the world. And I do remember that, not the exact date but I do remember.

Its still 100's of thousands needless lives lost each day, all because the 1st world has put them in so much debt. You cant say america didnt controbute to that....

I don't think that made any sense what so ever. Not even in Africa are "100's of thousands" lives lost in a day. If you're referring to Iraq the number isn't even that close either.

Gnarmageddon 09-11-2005 10:51 AM

Alright guys, settle down.

Kif 09-11-2005 10:51 AM

I actually agree with Dan on this one. You can't hold anniversaries or memorials for the people who die in thrd world countries, because that's done over a long period of time. The attack on the Twin Towers was the worst in America in history I believe, so I think they have a right to remember it. Ever since it happened, I can't remember hearing about it much, apart from those few documentries you see on UK People or something.
