Nice! I'm already looking forward to blasting Nadja in my car, once I have one. :D np: Autosomal |
Driving at night, going 100mph, and listening to Thaumogensis was epic.
|
Sweet.
I want to do that too. :( The speed of the car and the slowness of the music is a nice contrast. |
100Mph? Remind me never to get in a car with you.
|
when i think of nadja i think of driving really fast
|
100Mph? Remind me never to get in a car with you.
You probably won't, so no need to worry. |
100Mph? Remind me never to get in a car with you.
You'll never enjoy riding with me then. I routinely top 120 in my car on the highway. Yay!!! My label just got the rights to distribute Dark Autumn's material. I'm very happy. |
i bet you feel like a cool kid when you're driving reallly fast
|
No, not really. I just like driving tuned cars really fast.
I used to drive stock cars, so it's still with me kindof.... |
120MPH is dangerously fast. I hope you get in an accident*
*With a wall, a light, or a barrier, not with the hundreds of people you're endangering. |
It's only dangerous if you don't know how to drive at high speeds and your car can't physically handle it.
I grew up racing; I have a better handle on it than the average person. Plus I've got a good car. EDIT to your EDIT: Point still stands, but meh. |

**** what did you install? I want to upgrade my car's stock stereo system but I don't know anything about car stereos, what I would need to buy etc. |
**** what did you install? I want to upgrade my car's stock stereo system but I don't know anything about car stereos, what I would need to buy etc.
Depends on what kind of car you have, what kind of music you listen to, etc. |
Uh Toyota Matrix, mostly metal in the car.

What year? older cars are more rigid in material and framework, so it takes more to push bass through the car.
As far as metal goes, 10" subs have a faster response (for double bass and the such), but if you have an older, more rigid frame, you may need 12s anyway just to push the bass through the car. Or you could install a couple more 10s. I prefer 10s also because they aren't as muddy. Also, be careful when you buy amps to power your subs...make sure you have enough "rms" (average) power to actually overpower your speakers....don't go by what the manufacturer say's is the "peak" power. It's far easier to blow speakers by underpowering them than by overpowering them. |

I've noticed right now that I get bass buildup, which I think is sort of a function of the cars shape. I think I sit right in an area where there are some standing waves which kind of sucks. I'll check into the rigidness though. And thanks guitrguy. |
Check my edit too about the amps. That's a pretty important part of the system.
And as far as treble goes, if you get tweeters, make sure they're titanium coned, not the cheap aluminum ****. I've melted way too many tweeters by underpowering and overpowering cheap *** aluminum tweets. |
