It just now came to back to me the point I was trying to make last night: no matter how rough college is, it could be a hell of a lot worse.

Like I said, I nearly got expelled my freshman year. When the news came in that they wanted to boot me, I couldn't look my parents in the eye for two weeks.

To make up for the lost credits and still graduate in 2007, I'm going to need to juggle a full-time job this summer with classes at Pittsburgh Filmmakers for college credit.

But hey, I'm still here, which is more than can be said for some of the 24 freshmen expelled two years ago for substance abuse. Imagine having to explain that to your parents.
