I wonder why they don't take Warped to the UK. They're taking the Taste of Chaos. I think they would definately draw huge crowds over there if they took Warped, just because it would be something new.

Understanding In a Crash 08-10-2005 10:24 AM

They used to bring Warped Tour to UK but it didn't sell at all.

Mute Print 08-10-2005 10:26 AM

Haha. I didn't know that, but I'm really surprised it didn't sell.

How long ago was that?

Mid 90's I believe. I know they've been to europe before but between not selling and bands not wanting to travel that far, it was dropped.

bowl of oranges 08-10-2005 10:30 AM

Sucks that it didn't sell, maybe they'll try reintroducing it again. Maybe even 2 or 3 dates, i'm sure it would sell these days. The amount of quality bands they put on, would really surprise me if it didn't.

Understanding In a Crash 08-10-2005 10:30 AM

The line up hasn't been good in awhile, I really go for the festivities and dancing.

bowl of oranges 08-10-2005 10:36 AM

The line up is good when you compare it to the festivals over here. I'd much prefer to go to warped than say reading or glastonbury.

Understanding In a Crash 08-10-2005 10:38 AM

The tour is becoming very scene as of lately jumping alot of metalcore bands into a tour that was deriving from punk/ska-core/pop-punk and post-punk. I dont know if its a good thing but I'll definitely enjoy seeing Dillinger Escape Plan. I also want to see Skindred really bad.

bowl of oranges 08-10-2005 10:41 AM

I think the mix of the bands is great, there's probly only a handful of bands i wouldn't want to see. But you're probly right about it becoming really scene.

Understanding In a Crash 08-10-2005 10:45 AM

The only bands I really want to see on the main stages are probably, Transplants, Offspring, Thrice, and Strung Out.

You see FOB or MCR and you will get tit slapped by fat chicks. I like the sub stages though...

The Offspring are the only one of those bands I was able to see, because a storm cancelled the others, but they were really good. And I only like a few songs by them, but they seemed to play mostly what I like.

Understanding In a Crash 08-10-2005 10:50 AM

I cant wait to see the dudes wearing make up though, I'm sure there will be plenty of them. The only bad thing about the addition to metal-core/mall-core bands is that I'm sure there will be alot of fighting. The punks used to kill PEOPLE when pop-punk bands like Sugarcult played haha...

Mute Print 08-10-2005 10:51 AM

Haha. I didn't see any fighting, but there were definately some guys wearing make up.

That's what it was like for me, because I don't really even like the Offspring aside from a few songs, but they put on a good show.

bowl of oranges 08-10-2005 11:24 AM

I saw offspring last year at reading. They do sure put on a good show for old guys, they're getting on a bit.

Fish 08-10-2005 11:26 AM

Haha, yeah, wasnt Noodles like the janitor at Dexter's and Greg's high-school or something? I heard that from somewhere so i checked the web site and it mentioned something like that.

You do realsie a guy only a year oput of high school could be a janitor, making him not too much older than the rest of the band?

thomas is fast 08-10-2005 12:25 PM

I'm seeing Flogging Molly tonight. My sister won't take a shower. I want to leave.

Ganondorf 08-10-2005 12:26 PM

I think The Unseen is playing too. I'm really not sure and I'm too lazy to look it up. I hope it's not all local bands opening.

guns_of_brixton 08-10-2005 12:30 PM

I believe it might've been my 2nd post in here, actually.

But how are all you pop-punks doing?

EDIT: It was my 5th post in here :amaze:
