definitely similar in style, and definitely a lot of those chill-up-the-spine moments with like, the perfect chord progression, or a really great vocal line, or a nice guitar part. i would get it in like a week or so after letting [I]Laughing Stock[/I] sink in. i mean honestly i only listened to it once so i don't have the best understanding of it really. but then i played the 9 min opener, Rainbow, as the opener on my show tonight and it was just as intense and moving as my first listen, and i was significantly less high, so

hah. That's about as good of a description as I could have hoped for. I only gave [I]Laughing Stock[/I] one or two good listens, and each time I felt like I was zoning during certain parts, but then I'd get reabsorbed when something really cool would happen.

I dunno, it reminded me of some post-rock bands, but not in the sense that they are only cool when they do crashing, epic jams. I need to listen more.
