been listening to a lot of brian eno, tangerine dream, klaus schulze, jean-michel jarre etc.
i really like that 80s sort of cheap analog synth-y ambient stuff that sounds nicely antiquated. i also really like the people who are currently carrying on that trend, like emeralds and oneohtrix point never. i got into those dudes first so it was really exciting to hear that earlier stuff from the 80s is just as good. anyone have any suggestions for stuff in that vein? |
i would say check out Steve Roach - [I]Structures from Silence[/I], since it's ambient and it's from the '80s. but i'm not sure if it's what you're after. still worth a listen though, it's just soothing, relaxing ambient.
