The only reason they don'e make another KeA, RtL, or MoP, is because they don't want to work backwards. That magic already happened when it did. They're just moving forward now and if another one happens to come out of their heads that's great but not likey. That was the era. James said they won't purposfully do that they don't like looking at the past, only forward.

good point, but whether you agree or disagree, they were looking foreward before st. anger too, and it sucked. so it might be better if they just played some of their older stuff again and make a couple of new cds

I reckon if they're gonna make an album they should split up first and make some decent completely different ones, that's the only way they'll get out of a rut like that

Hey all, i wanna say that metallica were the greatest band ever and they will always be my faveroute band but the 'New' metallica absoloutely suck! No solo's, no kick A55 riffs and the drums sound like cans. stuff like master of the puppets and Ride the lightening were awsome but st. anger? they threw it all away. :upset:

yeah i reckon they just get fresh, they find some way of getting inspiration that's what i meant. I mean as they are they aren't exactly breaking ground and if they go into their back library they'll crack the taboo of being boring which no one wants

i was there too, i loved dave lombardo playing. It was full of sing-alongs!

Ride the Lightning is crazy though, the solo gets to this point where it's like listening to trains crashing raised an octave and the chariot-like riff at the beginning is the only one of theirs i whistle when bored. apart from MoP.

Shame there was no puppets or one thought :upset:

I nearly caught kirks guitar pick as well. It hit my hand as i went to catch it but it feel to the floor and despite my scrabbling for it some little 15 year old got it :upset:
