YEAH WELL :upset: females are mean |
Oh boy...this could take me a minute...I'll write out the answers. WATCH YOUR CHARGES, YOUNG MAN! :p
:thumb: -Gav
Take your time.. :thumb: And I don't know if I did it right but.. for like SnO2 .. I though it would be Tin ( II ) Oxide .. but my teacher say no.. care to explain. |
YEAH WELL
:upset: females are mean
^ 123. |
YEAH WELL

Geez , I'm tierd of people always changing font colour or putting a letter in bold or Italics.. Learn for the master. F [ SIZE="2"]u c k ^ ^ just space it properly. |
being fat isnt all bad ... we are quite cudly and comforable

calcium bromide - CaBr2
calcium phosphide - Ca3P2 calcium nitirde - Ca3N2 Li2O - Lithium Oxide AlCl3 - Aluminium Chloride (first letter in symbol is alwyas capitalized) Awesome job, man...wait until you get to polyatomic cations and anions! Hypochlorite, chlorite, chlorate, and perchlorate. :D :thumb: -Gav |
Take your time.. :thumb:
And I don't know if I did it right but.. for like SnO2 .. I though it would be Tin ( II ) Oxide .. but my teacher say no.. care to explain.
Sure. :) Tin can have a charge of 2+ or 4+...right? Oxygen ALWAYS has a charge of -2, so if you've got 2 oxygens, 2 * -2 = -4, right? You need to balance out that -4. I know it sort of goes against the whole peroxide ion, O2, being negative 2 as well, but that's just how that compound is named. It combines with two monatomic oxygens rather than one diatomic oxygen. You'll learn why later. It has to do with electron configuration and stability. :thumb: -Gav |
I have math to do. Wtf.
|

You know what they say.. More cushion for the pushin' ....:amaze:..... |

http://www.freewebs.com/mrcoffeekiller/slapbass.htm
that reminds me hows your band doing? |
so i found out a way to pass without having to do work
snuck into my moms room and stole the answere books |
Sure. :)

SnO2 -- > Sn2O Sn2*2 O-1 *2 ( because oxygen always has to have a charge of -2 ) Sn40-2 -- > Tin ( IV ) Oxide |
that reminds me hows your band doing?
I never was officailly in, but it didn't work out because I live too far away, which means we wouldn't be able to practice often enough. No hard feelings, though, we're all still friends. |
oh that sucks :(
|
I have tons of math homework tommorow
And I also have to get up early for band :upset: |
spiff i DEMAND you change your avatar back
yeah have fun with that
You know I will  .. .. :upset: |
So let me try...
SnO2 -- > Sn2O Sn2*2 O-1 *2 ( because oxygen always has to have a charge of -2 ) Sn40-2 -- > Tin ( IV ) Oxide
Wait, you're saying SnO2 is the same as Sn2O? But in that case, you'd have a different oxidizing/reducing agent in a reaction (you'll learn that later). Just trust me...usually your teacher will say if it's oxide or peroxide...name it accordingly. Tin(II) Oxide = SnO Tin(IV) Oxide = SnO2 Tin(II) Peroxide = SnO2 Tin(IV) Peroxide = Sn(O2)2 <--- we use this to show it is a peroxide ion Get it? :thumb: -Gav |
spiff i DEMAND you change your avatar back
If he doesn't, I can change it for him. :thumb: -Gav |
