shall i get Practice What You Preach as my next Testament album?
DisposableHeroes 08-10-2004 08:52 AM

i'll try get it on vinyl, or cassette.Though i dont think i'll find it as cheap as the Voivod one

AParanoidIronMan 08-10-2004 09:03 AM

DisposableHeroes 08-10-2004 09:07 AM

i'll get some more Voivod too, i think i have Dimention Hatross coming on vinyl.I think i'll take a pic of my vinyl so far

DimebagDarrell 08-10-2004 09:11 AM

i have heard one song of dimension hatross called brain scan, the first time i heard it i didnt like it much but it does start to grow on you after a while

DisposableHeroes 08-10-2004 09:15 AM

i always find that happens with annoying songs, you listen so much and it grows on you. I'd like to see Voivod live, they must be getting a lot of attention with Newsted in the band aswell, so thats good

sensitiveorgan00 08-10-2004 11:53 AM
Speak English or Die Vinyl..sex man, awesome. I think I might buy South of Heaven or Hell Awaits today. Mabye another Maiden or Priest. Haha, the Slayer cds were completely off my mind until I came here. Just reading stuff here makes me need thrash.
If you're going to get a Slayer cd, mosdef get HELL AWAITS. It's teh best Slayer album ever.

DisposableHeroes 08-10-2004 12:20 PM

out of the ones i have, reign in blood does it for me

DimebagDarrell 08-10-2004 02:16 PM

Seasons In the Abyss is just brillaint well most slayer albums are they are a few though that are a bit rubbish

DisposableHeroes 08-10-2004 02:20 PM

is divine intervention ****?

DimebagDarrell 08-10-2004 02:26 PM

divine intervention is good but not great it has good moments and bad moments there are better slayer albums to get before D I

DisposableHeroes 08-10-2004 02:29 PM

i've got enough Slayer at the moment, i'm focusing on getting more Testament

by the way, i've seen waynes world 2 now

DimebagDarrell 08-10-2004 02:39 PM
i've got enough Slayer at the moment, i'm focusing on getting more Testament

kool, what do you think?

GraveRobbersINC 08-10-2004 05:09 PM

They didn't have Hell Awaits so I got Peace Sells Remaster, I love it. Devil's Island and Peace Sells are great songs. Oh and I do have Reign in Blood and Seasons in the Abyss so I wanted to get SoH just to finish off those 3. They're said to be their best, and yes yes SNM and HA are great, it's just one of those things.

Ratmevilempire 08-10-2004 08:32 PM

Dargon has no cds because his parents wont let him have any.He has all those albums he talks about on mp3(in most cases anyway)thats just for the guys who were askin a couple pages back.

ThrashMaster27 08-11-2004 12:30 AM
i have heard one song of dimension hatross called brain scan, the first time i heard it i didnt like it much but it does start to grow on you after a while
Yeah, Voivod are like that. Took me a little while to get into their style, but it does eventually stick on you. Dimension Hatross is a good album, aswell as Killing Technology and Nothingface, but they aren't exactly Thrash to the full extent.

LordDargon 08-11-2004 04:52 AM
He's an opinionated twat that often gets beaten at his own games. He shouted at whoever made the Genre guide, cause they missed out Dark Angel! Funny thing is he didn't know about them 'til this thread started up.
UH! I beg to differ! Go back to the first page, I think it was my 3rd post ever in here I say "I had a tough time deciding between RiB, BbB and DD." Hum, too bad you aren't an old-time member like me

AParanoidIronMan 08-11-2004 05:00 AM

1. I joined before you moron, so your point there doesn't stand.

2. I know you found out about Dark Angel not long ago. Maybe it was in a different thread, I'm not sure, but I remember.

3. You're still an opinionated twat.

4. Welcome back from Poland.

LordDargon 08-11-2004 05:04 AM

Oh yeah, and I do not hate anything with melody

LordDargon 08-11-2004 05:06 AM

1. What? I was the first one to every post saying "I want to join!" Go on the first page!

2. No, I found out about them in one of those amazon listmania things like 2 years ago if you MUST know.

3. Yeah :)

4. Thanks

LordDargon 08-11-2004 05:08 AM

1. Oh, sorry.

2. Have fun :p

LordDargon 08-11-2004 05:09 AM

We both joined the forum in december 2003... but I think you had an account that got frozen long before I did.

AParanoidIronMan 08-11-2004 05:10 AM

wb dargon

anyways, whats the point of argueing over something as pointless as 'I joined before you!' ????? who cares we all like thrash, keep it that way.

ThrashMaster27 08-11-2004 05:12 AM
We both joined the forum in december 2003... but I think you had an account that got frozen long before I did.
That's correct. I was frozen when the Mods went power mad for a few days. I happened to post in a "fave" something thread and got banned for a month or something.

DimebagDarrell 08-11-2004 06:46 AM

Welcome back Dargon

GraveRobbersINC 08-11-2004 09:38 AM

Welcome back..always seems like people are coming and going for large amounts of time here.

LordDargon 08-11-2004 11:49 AM

Looks like our esteemed colleage ThrashMaster was unable to find the thread in question. heh heh. I'm smoooooth

So, whats new in the world of thrash? New members? New albums?

GraveRobbersINC 08-11-2004 12:56 PM

Well...get thrashed is coming out, thats looks ****in awesome. The new Kreator, Megadeth, and Slayer albums sound like they're coming along well.

sensitiveorgan00 08-11-2004 02:39 PM

Meh, teh Megadeth is disappointing from what I've heard.

RCA 08-11-2004 03:07 PM

Oh yeah, Dargon, check out a band called Deathchain if you haven't already. Great thrash/death sound :thumb:

As for the new Megadeth, I heard the song "Blackmail the Universe" and thought it was pretty good.
Well...get thrashed is coming out, thats looks ****in awesome. The new Kreator, Megadeth, and Slayer albums sound like they're coming along
well.
I didn't know Kreator had a new album coming out, wicked!

Griffin_Page 08-11-2004 06:09 PM

Get Thrashed... I'll probably see it, but from the ad, i dont like it. Of course, listening to Kirk Hammet and Lars Ulrich talk probably skewed my view of it, but still...

I can't wait for Kreator's new cd.. it is going to kick ***...

GraveRobbersINC 08-11-2004 06:24 PM

Yeah seach blabbermouth for the drum tracks and the a vocal thing. As for get thrashed, I just like learning about my heritage :P, plus I just wanna see people beat eachother in the pit. It does my heart good to see people beating eachother to loud music.

Griffin_Page 08-11-2004 06:25 PM

Mosh pits look cool.. but I personally hate em.. I'm not angry enough :P. I'm either the guy who just stands to the side, headbanging and taking in the full experience of the music.. or the guy on stage.

GraveRobbersINC 08-11-2004 06:29 PM

I'm the shrimpy guy who gets hit with people coming out of the pit :upset: but I can hold my own, depends on the crowd. I want to get a band going but I cannot find a drummer, especially one into metal of any kind. Today I learned how much fun my low E String can be when its palm muted :)

Griffin_Page 08-11-2004 06:29 PM

You just learned that? :P

GraveRobbersINC 08-11-2004 06:35 PM

lmao, well I just really got down a good speed of picking and tried it for myself last night/today/

Griffin_Page 08-11-2004 06:39 PM

Cool... speed picking on the low string is very fun.. especially mixed with major diads, power chords, and the occasional flat-fifth chord.
