It's good, but I'm a fan of To Bid You Farewell and Advent.

And oddly, all the original members (well the ones from Morningrise and Orchid, not people like Niklas and Kim who were in for like 3 months, but Johan, Mikael, Peter, and Anders) HATE that song, they all say it's their least favorite Opeth song. Personally, I think The Night And The Silent Water is a masterpiece.

IMO to bid your farewell is the best track of Morningrise i just love that song, in fact is my fav. opeth track i don't know why but is just so emotional and awesome for me i love it.

Strange, I would have thought one of the weaker tracks off Orchid would have had that distinction, but apparently not.

Mikael's acoustic guitar work is brilliant.. I always love his acoustic peices in Opeth songs.

I don't feel bad, it's no worse than seeing a video before a CD comes out. It's a taste of the album, and as long as your buying it, who cares?

I didn't have MAYH and Still Life until halfway through this thread. I liked to hear comments because as you all know, no words can describe the music.

For example I love ****ation, but from reading this thread one would think it was a weak album. Same goes for Orchid, I got the impression that everyone is in awe of thsi album while im not a big fan.

I found MAYH at a Virgins Record store in Chicago. That place made me [I]very[/I] happy.

Sam Goody, the awesome store that everyone loves, could order me any Opeth CD I wanted EXCEPT Still Life... haven't gone back since. I luckily found a very small music store that will order anything and sell it for only a little over internet prices.

People like to wait for CD's and be surprised, it's kinda weird, but it's understandable.
