Listened to Abbatoir Blues a couple times today. So good.
|
Today I've listened to:
Sum 41 - Chuck Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West TV On The Radio - Young Liars EP My Bloody Valentine - Loveless Neil Young - Freedom Pedro The Lion - Control Coheed & Cambria - IKSOSE:3 Holy crap, that's a lot... I don't have a life. |
Lately I've been listening to a lot of Beastie Boys, Jurassic 5, Sigur Ros and At The Drive-In.
The Beastie Boys are probably my favourite rap/hip hop group of all time.
I've been trying to get into Sigur Ros for a while. Which songs are their best? The longer it takes me to get into a band, the better it is usually. |
They're Japanese right? What they sound like?
It's been called the Japanese OK Computer. I can definitely see why, though it's slightly unfair. It's a very diverse album. Really good stuff. |
L'arc En Ciel? OK Computer?
They must have changed a LOT... because the songs I've heard were extremely cheesy. Catchy though. Actually, the only song I can really remember of theirs was called Driver's High. |
:thumb: Early stuff by Snow Patrol!
and anything by Bloc Party! those guys are great man!
you know your ****, but for me add mellon collie and the infinite sadness (album) by smashing pumpkins and any Libertines album |

Von Untitled 1 Untitled 8 Good to start you off, anyway, I'm sure people can suggest more. |
Radiohead- Street Spirit (Fade Out)
Wow, it's better than any song on OK Computer, in my opinion. |
It's better than any song, ever, I think anyways.
I'm really loving Hail To The Thief today. |
lately, I've been digging a lot of M.I.A.
also: Ratatat the Weakerthans the Walkmen the Go! team |
This week I have been mostly diggin' The Mooney Suzuki
|
Malcolm Mooney + Damo Suzuki = the Mooney Suzuki.
|
I've been listening to a Suede album today.
It's either called "Nude" or just "Suede". I think it's self titled, but anyhoo.... These guys are rather nice. |

I just discovered Explosions in the Sky. Very relaxing.
|
Oi, you Mooney Suzuki fans.
I've never listened to them, do they sound like their name suggests? |
Oi, you Mooney Suzuki fans.
I've never listened to them, do they sound like their name suggests?
Sorry i don't really know Malcolm Mooney + Damo Suzuki. But If you want to check TMS out try the songs 'Alive and Amplified' (their new single) and 'In a Young Man's Mind'. 2 very good songs. |
They took their name from the surnames of the first 2 singers from Can.
Do they sound like Can? |
Cursive - Such Blinding Stars For Starving Eyes
|
the Go! team
for this i give you stars. i love them. |
They took their name from the surnames of the first 2 singers from Can.
Do they sound like Can?
Well, considering Can are a timeless, classic, genre-bending kraut rock band, and the Mooney Suzuki are a garage rock/punk act riding the wave of current trends, I'm gonna go ahead and reply with a big "no". There's a slight Can influence in their music, but I definitely can't say they sound like them. |
Well I've never listened to them before and seeing as though they have a fucken shrine as their name, I thought they'd be like a poor imitation.
Noone asked for a life story grandpa. |
Before the Dawn Heals Us by M83 is class. Can't compare it with their other albums yet though.
|
It's different from their other two and it's really good.
Check out my FA of them in Other Music |
The Beatles...
-Sgt. Peppers -The White Album -Abbey Road got Sgt. Peppers for x-mas and really started listening to it a couple days ago and well now i can't stop. |

|
