Woooh! The gig went awesome, everyone loved us. We were the first band on, but thanks to a combination of only playing original songs, me going absolutley crazy and starting a pit whilst still playing my guitar and a behind the head solo, they asked us to play again after the last band.

Drinking's overrated.

My band got to play a small gig today.

Ha, it wasn't my first gig ever, it was my first gig with this band (and the heaviest and kinda, least mainstream band i have gigged with.)

The guys in the crowd loved it, i was suprised at the ease i made jokes with as well. The best one was me pointing at the bar (we played in a beer tent) and going 'IF you want beer, go consult the wonderful men behind the bar. Because thats what rock and rolls about : Beer. And charity.' Whilst saying charity i did the ol' devil horns with my hands, that got me some laughs. And some free beer!

We played Bonzo Gos To Bitburg for the encore, but with an added shred solo from me when it goes up to A. How i love that song.

Not many people know my name. I think the only one that does is michael...

Drinking to get drunk is wasteful, but some drinks taste great. Wine with dinner is awesome.

Hehe, I have never paid to get drunk, and I never plan to. If I'm going to get wasted, at the least I'm not paying to do it. Not my idea of money well spent. I prefer CDs.

It only cost me a 10er to get drunk so it wont dent my bank balance to much.

I never go out to get drunk anymore, i havnt in a long time, if i end up drinking too much because im out for a long time im not too bad anymore, im becoming more tolerant of it, i usualy only go to the pub, have 2 or 3 pints and go home now.

Its not that, when your out with your mates in a pub, you talk about stuff, have a laugh and generally have fun. The comments you made on what people do only relate to totally drunk people, not socially/typsy drunk.

For example, last night i went to the rock/metal club in my town, had a few drinks and had the time of my life.

I don't drink. The most alcohol I've ever consumed in one go is liek a bottle of Archers peach (the small one) or a beer.

I still think it's weird that whenever we go out with friends, we have to drink. It's like an unwritten law now, that if you go somewhere or stay in, you have to drink. I personally don't see why, but if you have fun with mates in the pub drinking then that's fine be me.
