what is the point of having a record player?

I mean, I know to play records, but why get that when you can have cd's? And why do so many hardcore bands make records/vinyls?

Vinyl is better than CDs in terms of sound quality. Plus it has a better feel to it.

Sound quality is awesome, a bit grittier than cds but I like it better.

old records sound so much better on vinyl.

Hahaha, the Through Being Cool LP is so funny at the beginning because they recorded that whole noise when the needle hits the record...but then you already get that noise so it's totally unecessary. Kind of like when you make the KSHHH noise on a walky talky.
