Hahaha, that's pretty funny. I am still getting a kick out of LarsAgi thinking that I've been modded because I have stars. Heh, oh well.
Also, I've been frantically searching for my infamous MX dream in the R&M Yacht Club, but cannot find it since the search function isn't indexed there. Instead, I found a post Jelle made in the old thread that got owned minorly by the new filter, which you can read here. I just think it's a funny visual. If anyone finds the exact posts (yes, plural, I do believe) and e-mails the links to me or sends them to me on AIM/MSN (the key here is so I'm the one who re-posts it on MX :)), they'll win however much rep++ I can give out. |

The birth of a giant. http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7463662&postcount=60075 Hahaha. |
STORY WHICH INVOLVES ME GETTING OWNED BY PEER.
So, I asks Jelle to read something over MSN today, jesus, he made me look like a fool. "English is not my first language". He says, but he's better at it than I am, and I'm English. Any rational way of explaining this? :(
thats alright, im an american, so my english is guaranteed worse than yours. But also, Jelle is from belgium, which is fairly close to the UK,which im sure also aids in his learning of english. Plus if the flemish speaking part of belgium is anything like the netherlands, than all tv shows that come from the UK or America are just subtitled, and not overdubbed, which also helps in learning a language. |
That post by CemetaryGates is too humerous to be him, what the Hell happened there? I remember that guy being mentally retarded and as clever as a rotting pile of.... rotting stuff.

EDIT: Well I'm out for now, seeya MX . |
Jom: Noice...that is sure as hell better than the dorm I'm staying in.
And I do want to do a series but I'm afraid it'll die quickly because frankly, I've never really supported anyone else's series. I mean, I read them but I never have any idea what to say. I don't want to just post fluff like "Good work", I want to add on to it and say a discussion-starter or something like that. Oh , and I don't think my mom is my actual mom. |
It's ok, read the entire first page of my Dredg thread Ray
|
Oh , and I don't think my mom is my actual mom.
What makes you think that? |
What makes you think that?
She is white, but I am black. I always assumed I was half-white, half-black but I've seen other people who are half-white, half black and I am a lot darker than they are, and I have "nappy" hair while they have "white" hair. |

So you look full black? Maybe it's just weird genetics. Your black genes might have had more of an influence while you were being made than your white genes. It's just like looking more like one parent than another. |

And I am the only "half-black" person to look this way, from what I can gather. And I have never seen any pictures from my birth. |
Yeah the singer in my band and the guy in my avatar are both half black and they both are about that color. My singer is a little lighter i guess. But I have never really seen a half-black person and been like "o hes probobly full black".
It depends on what kind of gene it is. Im pretty sure its not possible from what I remember from bio because Black is dominant over white, so your mom would have to be half black for you to be all black. I guess its a co-dominant gene thats why it mixes to get a color in between. |

I've seen pictures of just about everything else (of me when I was a baby, stuff like that) and I've asked to see them but she always gives a vague "Maybe later" or "I don't feel like finding them" answer. |

Suspicious. Do you know your "real" mother? |
Suspicious.
Do you know your "real" mother?
Assuming I'm correct in this? No And if it turns out my mom isn't my birthmom, she's still my "real" mom because she's the one who raised me and she's the one who married my dad. And if it turns out my birthmom is out there, do I want to find her? No. If she didn't want me, why should I want her? |
I know a couple of half/half kids, and they are normally lighter skin colored, but you never know young man.

Who knows where she is now. |
That's odd that your mother is being so vague. Maybe it's accidental, though. I would hope that she hasn't been trying to hide anything from you after these years, and it just seems like she would answer you more directly now that you're an adult... I dunno, man, sorry. At least you've thought it through, it seems like you've spent a lot of time wondering about this.

I have a friend who's full black and looks like he could be only half black.
|
I'm sorry to pop into the conversation like this, but I don't suppose anyone in here has read and would like to help me with The Great Gastby real quick for English III?
Ray - do you think you're adopted? |
Uhh wtf i gained 32 pounds this summer.
|
Ray - do you think you're adopted?
I wouldn't say I'm adopted...my dad was my actual birthdad, and I still consider my mom to be my real mom. And I read the Great Gatsby a while back but I can try to help. |

I lost 10  |
I lost 10
Well I went to camp for a long time then this year i stopped going, but I couldnt stay home alone all summer so I was out of town with nothing to do except eat and watch tv. |
Cross-posted from the Video Games forum:
Hey guys, I have a quick question: I want to get a controller for my laptop for when I play ROMs and such. I don't really like using the keyboard, so a simple gamepad would be excellent. There was this Logitech one at Best Buy for $10 and looks like one that would work. My question is, is it just a plug-and-play device? I use zSNES for my SNES ROMs and have a couple N64 emulators, will it be able to detect the gamepad when I try to configure it? Or is there something that needs to be done? My budget is not very high right now, but I want one that will work with my ROMS. Thanks.
|
I lost 10
I'm pretty sure I lost a couple pounds this summer but I haven't weighed myself in a while. Jom: That's the biggest loser alive? I'm pretty sure you could find a bigger loser from that forum. |

And I read the Great Gatsby a while back but I can try to help.
Right. Well, I'm adopted and I found out a while ago that I had a brother who died, and a sister somewhere out there. It was really weird, because it's like people who are so close to you...yet you don't know who they are. It's an odd feeling, definately. Ok, I'm doing this stupid project for English III...and I hate this book. Bored me to death. It's about character corruption. The problem is that I can't think of any specfic corruption involving Jay Gastby, Tom Buchanan, Jordan Baker, Myrtle Wilson, George Wilson and Daisy Buchanan that directly affects them. After each character's name, list the corrupt behaviors of that character and the consequences the character suffers as a result. Does that even make sense to you? Yes, they are corrupt characters, but I can't specifically point out Jordan Baker did to make her corrupt. It's bugging the hell out me. Maybe I'm missing something here. |
Use sparknotes if you haven't tried it already.
|
Use sparknotes if you haven't tried it already.
I've got Sparks open right now. It's not helping too much. It says that they are corrupt and that's about it. |
It was really weird, because it's like people who are so close to you...yet you don't know who they are. It's an odd feeling, definately.
Well, if what I'm thinking is correct, than my birthmom is still out there somewhere, and while I certainly don't need her, it still hurts to know that she didn't want me. I'll get over it, but it's just something instinctive. And wasn't Jordan the one Jay was having an affair with? I know he really wanted Daisy, but I think he was doing something with Jordan. I haven't read the damn book in three years, though, and even then I was kind of skimming it. |
