yo
ideally, I want to get into the Norrbotten Armored Battalion and eventually advance to Överste if possible |
Yeah, that's what my recruiter said. Do you know where you'll be stationed? My boot camp will be in Chicago, I know that. I'm really hoping to go to Italy, I was told a lot of new recruits are going there. I'll be damned if I go to the Navy port 45 minutes from my house, haha.
|
you put your 20 years in, and youre well fed for the rest of your life. WELL fed.
And you only have to give them a measly twenty years of your life? Awfully generous, I should look into this
|
Bremerton is legit
|
Yeah, my recruiter said he'll be retiring at like 40.
Jake: Yeah, but I wanna travel nikka. |
considering that means id be retired at 39, 20 years of my life doesnt seem too bad.
thats crazy, i was actually thinking about italy too. return to the motherland yknow. if not there, the other places i picked were in germany, france, and england. if overseas doesnt work out (sounds like it will tho), i think they were talking about like maryland or some ****. idk. im really crossing my fingers on overseas. need to pirate me some rosetta stone haha |
ASVAB is pretty easy
I was helping a brah with the study guide |
hahaha
i hear if you're overseas they really take care of you. |
and damn dude, a 93? that's ****ing high. the national average is 35.
|
I took it and got an 89.
My friend James got a 96 :amaze: |
i know dude ppl were walking away with 50s and huge smiles. my recruiter nearly **** herself when she saw it. idk, it all just sorta came to me. anything related to english is nothing for me, and i brushed up on my math the night before. all the mechanics and electronics stuff is easy too if you know the names of parts of cars and what they do, know the names of tools, and have at least a mild comprehension of how electronics work. the rest is pretty much common knowledge ****. tests have always been very easy for me.
|
My test wasn't like that, it didn't have any mechanics stuff on it. The guy told me the small portion I took was more difficult than the actual test to show if it is even worth taking the real one. The English was so easy, I just bombed the math portion.
|
yeah the practice only has the math and english stuff. theres gonna be mechanics, electronics, and this like object placement thing. hard to explain, you basically have to look at a bunch of shapes and choose the correct image of them all put together. things like that.
|

I was looking at the Barron's practice test object assembly they seriously give nine whole minutes for that? |
yeah haha that was definitely the easiest part of the test, minus the english stuff. the only way you can really screw it up is by rushing through it and not looking carefully enough. or by having a lack of common sense. which sadly the majority of people seem to possess. i think i finished that part in like 3 minutes. the whole test didnt take me any longer than an hour and a half. its really surprising how unintelligent most people are.
|
its really surprising how unintelligent most people are
yeah :( I always feel dumb though because I look up to people like idk J.P. Joule and Vernon Mountcastle btw, I never liked that term "common sense" because it's not always common, as you pointed out, and not always "sense" either |
im ****ing bored
|
Same.

hey guys
1. Consider the system of equations: x1 + 2x3 = 0 3x1 + 4x2 + 4x3 = 0 alphax1 + x2 + x3 = 0 a) For what values of alpha will the system only have a trivial solution b) For what values of alpha will the system have an infinite number of solutions? Give the form of the general solution in this case. What's the answer. |
