I laughed like hell when that music came in  That is great.

Janeway 05-20-2006 11:05 AM

At the Jello gallery, there's a room with about 1500 metal spoons hanging suspended from the ceiling, the walls are one big Bill Cosby mural, and there are TV's in each corner playing nothing but his TV show and Jello commercials.
It's...insane.

The second comment.

Holy crap I just found the earliest recorded thing from me ever. It is on a tape deck when I was 13 and I had my set for around a month.

ROFL Im playing with a friend who started playing bass the same time I got my kit. haha This is great I have to find a way to make it digital.

TTTSNB 05-20-2006 11:14 AM

So, I had a big show at my school, actually cool this time.

I played All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix, Foxey Lady by " ", The Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin, Plush by the Stone Temple Pilots, Just (Do it to Yourself) by Radiohead, Billie's Bounce by Charlie Parker, and Monkey Boy by Candy Pants.

I had a great time, even got to play a little solo in Just, (complete with improv funk jam with the bassist, and random Bach pieces by guitarist, don't ask). I made a few stupid mistakes, but I recovered and managed to not screw up totally.

Also, lost a stick during All Along the Watchtower, and my kick pedal came undone during the solo, then the right beater fell off, forcing me to play left footed for the remainder of the song. When I thought this couldn't happen, after fixing it, it happened again, haha.

Overall great experience though.

ludvista29 05-20-2006 11:25 AM

rockindrummer 05-20-2006 01:33 PM

Sounds like you had a good time man. It is always good to get out and play to people.

not fishbulb 05-20-2006 01:42 PM

Yeah man, good one as well. It will change Euro Vision for ever! Maybe more rock and metal bands will enter next year, Lordi are suprisingly good man. Not just some cheesy metal band.

Up the irons!

I think, that after this year, we'll likely see a lot more 'heavy' bands entering.
Opeth for sweden!

I couldn't resist it.

And I just learned the second song ever by ear on sax. Fernando by Abba.
I could post audio, but no.

Seafroggys 05-20-2006 06:14 PM

wow, I hate this game.

I've been playing Alpha Centauri recently. I sat down after lunch (about 1 PM), looked up, and it was 4:30. Jesus, this game is sooooo damn addicting!

Cube - Pretty, pretty sax.

I tried to learn sax once. I failed cause I have braces. My lips were all tender for ages and I quit.

DUDE. Same thing with me. What skill level are you at right now?

not fishbulb 05-20-2006 07:14 PM

I've been getting pretty frustrated with Tony Hawk american wasteland on pc. I modded an xbox controller for pc and i have to set up all of the controls. It tells me the keyboard commands to do the tricks, not the buttons on the controller which is stupid. Took me an hour to figure out how to do a backflip on a bike.

For the life of me I would not be able to tell that one apart from one such as the one I bought for a friend, which I found out was absolute doodoo, according to him :/

Janeway 05-20-2006 07:21 PM

Sure you would.

This one smells like money and that one probably smelled like crap.

I just beat the 3rd difficulty (one easier then Librarian). Diplomatic Victory as the Gaians, though I wasn't far from either conquering the World or Transcendance, but I'm not much of a military guy nor did i want to wait to do all the crap you have to do for transcendence.

I've been trying to get a good game with Librarian, but its still a tad bit hard for me.

(you are talking about Sid Meier's AC I hope ;) )

Janeway 05-20-2006 08:11 PM

Not that bad of a band in my opinion. Some pretty decent drums in there, in my opinion. Sound a bit like the Modest Mouse also.

sweet_nothings 05-20-2006 08:57 PM

I *heart* chickpeas.

Yum.
