I personally would love to get my hands on an ESP explorer. I've been craving one ever since I've seen James up on stage with one. That guitar looks so cool.

James' Ken Lawrence Explorer > all other Explorers.

Though his Diamond plate one is quite cool too.

I would mod. it though. Instead of crappy plastic, I'd have the whole guitar in aluminum including the neck. That would be THE fastest, slipperiest (love that new word) guitar neck ever.

^^^ don't let people bash you for liking load and reload, i adore both albulms. i suggest for metallica fans who don't really like their newer stuff and havent seen some kind of monster to SEE IT! because it will raise their appreciation and make them love the band even more. and hate lars ulrich even more...but thats besides the point haha.

What I hated most about him in that movie is that the whole band is busting their @$$ trying to make this new album and all he wants to do is sit on his and do nothing.

I remember hearing that he actually took drum loops from ProStudio and put into the mix just so he didn't have to work.................lame @$$ slacker.:angry:

they talked things to death in some kind of monster.. should have just played more, perhaps they were burned out on playing and just needed to chatter for a while... therapy blah...

i have odd tastes in music, their early stuff just doesnt fit my taste, anything after the black album fits in though to some degree or other. i really liked S&M and the early stuff on there was fine mostly, but I skip over a lot of it now.

I actually played ST. Anger for the first time in at least a year (probably closer to the time they released it.) and I actually started to dig the song some kind of monster. A very nice riff but the lyrics are very annoying.

I haven't got that one yet, next on my list though.

If you don't have St. Anger then my advice to you is to listen to a couple of tracks on it first then decide if it's for you. This way you don't pay for a cd you dont want.

they dont seem to play it anywhere i listen to, and i dont know anyone with it. i usually just buy stuff after i hear it first.

i have to say, napster increased my cd selections quite a bit while it was still giving away downloads.

Well if you buy it at places like walmart, you can scan the barcode and it'll play part of a song or two, just so you can hear what the album sounds like.

You can also check them out on yahoo if you're a member there.

I would never buy a LTD for the same price as a Gibson

yah, see, i forget that, there isnt a walmart here, i get to one of those about 1/6 months and its not usually to hunt down music, thanx i will have to go do that... actually, now that i think about it, the local cd store guy likes metallica, i am sure he must have an open one or would do that for me...

Gibson is cool, but overrated. I can't stand the feel of the necks of LPs. Then again I don't play much acoustic either.

With esp guitars they have ultra slim necks that make playing so easy. Being that I have jacked up wrists, it worth even more to me to get an esp.

I have a gibson Sg with a pretty thin neck, I got it about 1982, but i have big hands though so that wouldnt matter to me really

Well the thing with my wrists is that I can't turn them more than 3/4 of the way around. I don't know why but that's the farthest that they'll comfortably turn.

In order for me to play guitar i've got to point the headstock at at least a 45 degree angle.

I can still play some mean thrash though. :chug:

The church I go to is really big so it has some cops to make sure everything is
cool. Well me and my buddies were there on a saurday and there is this one
cop watching us play guitar (Metallica of course) so he comes up and starts
singing with us (He's older and a big Tallica fan) and he's just lovin it. So he
starts talking about his collage roommate who died and left him his guitar
and amp. The amp is a 1980 marshall HS and the guitar is a gibson...but he
doesn't know the type or model...Idiot!

So I asked him if I could have (He said no) I was like but you don't play it
and that's a mean thing to do to a guitar. but he said he'll bring it and let
me see it some time

The lyrics weren't so bad you have to turn it off. A couple songs had some decent lyrics. The others, you can just ignore the lyrics and headbang.

Yeah but in a way it's mean to ask him for the guitar. His friend died and left him that guitar. It would be an insult to his friend if this cop guy gave away the gibson.
