I think I would like Maps And Atlases if they had a better singer.

pixiesfanyo 08-14-2007 01:05 PM

I think I'd like you a lot better if you didn't have such shitty opinions.

Someone Mailing list it.

The Electronic Hole-s/t

This sounds like Loop and MBV but they released this album in 1970. Absolutely amazing. They even do a Spacemen 3-like cover of "Trouble Every Day" by Frank Zappa.

i listened to them today for the first time, and came away really impressed.

br3ad_man 08-14-2007 06:26 PM

When I got the EP I was like "wow this is cool" at first and by the end it was just alright.

catfishjohnson 08-14-2007 06:34 PM

i got Tree, Swallows, Houses today, so i haven't had a lot of time to really get a full grasp on it yet.

Y Pants - Y Pants
Paris 1942 - Paris 1942
Angels of Light - We Are Him

Y Pants is neat and sweet. I really like "Magnetic Attraction." Reminds me of The Slits. Paris 1942 is a collab between Mo Tucker and the Sun City Girls.

Anxious 08-14-2007 09:56 PM

Y Pants are pretty sweet. Out of the bands on the 99 records label I think Liquid Liquid are my favorite though.

Robert Crumb 08-14-2007 10:03 PM

Liquid Liquid are definitely the most consistent of the bunch that I've heard so far. Someone should start a band called Rubbermiro. I just got some Bush Tetras, too. Pretty sweet.

Thanks 08-14-2007 10:11 PM

Yeah, I got that Y Pants album too, and listened to it today. Awesome, I thought.
