Maggie May is a pretty good song, but Do Ya Think I'm Sexy.....aahhh:upset:
Hahaha. Yea, Maggie May is fine I guess.

Jam2Me 04-04-2005 05:08 PM

Jimmy Buffet > James Taylor

I was listening to Full Moon Fever (Tom Petty) and I absolutely love every song except the fourth and sixth tracks...minus those tracks that album is unbelievably cool.

I love that song...it's so....sexy. In a Rod Stewart sexy way.

Definitely. I actually kinda like Jimmy Buffet now that my mom has drilled his music into my head.

I actually like what I've heard from Tom Petty, believe it or not.

magicbus 04-04-2005 05:20 PM

I don't like Rod Stewart or James Taylor. I'm indifferent to Jackson Browne, although my parents like him, and I like Tom Petty. He's sweet.

I heart Woodstock's new avatar.

Someone should get an Elwood avatar?

I'll believe it since he's awesome.

I like Jackson Browne sometimes...some of his songs get a little boring because they're too slow or w/e..."Doctor My Eyes" is such a great song though.

Illmatic 04-04-2005 05:26 PM

I can't say I've been all that impressed by Jackson Browne, though.

Distant Echoes 04-04-2005 05:57 PM

I can stand Jimmy Buffet...but am not interested in purchasing his music.

I love Tom Petty Though. I seen him on the LiveAid DVD i bought, and he can jam. Im defintaly gonna learn breakdown once i finish my current stuff...and get an e string

as for Jackson Browne, i really dont listen to him much. Ive heard some of his good stuff on the radio but thats it. I dont think my family or friends know much about him either, resulting in my lack of knowledge

Badmoon 04-04-2005 08:23 PM

Jim Croce's good. :thumb:

I didn't know Freebird was written about Duane Allman. Did you all?

Yeah, read it in an "encyclopedia of music" book that I bought. A very fitting tribute to a great musician.

Very true. The usertitle should be, "Dry, white toast please."

I have a book called Hippie. Very fitting towards my music tastes. It has lots of information on Cream, Hendrix, Byrds, and the Yardbirds.

Speaking of which, I'm thinking of getting Roger The Engineer. Should I?

Duane Allman was a god. Michael Jackson should have been hit by a peach truck. He played arguably one of the best riffs of all time(layla), influenced one of the best songs of all time(freebird), and played in unarguably the best band of all time.

Thats the only Yardbirds album i have, so i couldnt tell you if its better or worse then their others, but i like it...listen to it every now and then.

I would send it, but itd take all day. If you dont get it within the next month, i could probably send it, since comcast is on the way

I agree, Duane Allman is definantly one of the greats.

"Jake..."

Woodstock 04-05-2005 04:50 PM

"Do you have any white toast?"
"Yes, you want any jelly or butter?"
"No thanks, just plain white toast."
"And for you?"
"I'll have four fried chickens and a Coke."
"Wings or legs?"
"No, FOUR fried chickens and a Coke."
