Hmm there was a picture there for about 5 minutes or so, but then this thing came up. Oh well... I guess she is buying a tripod, not a stairway to heaven
And affleck doesn't act, he just is himself, those are the roles he's cast in because he's a very one-dimensional actor, imo.
As I said, watch jay and silent bob strike back...he shows a totally different facet.

Accentopus 12-05-2004 04:12 AM

Morning

Bassinator89 12-05-2004 05:40 AM

Good morning Chris. It's too early, Idon't wanna goto work. But I guess it gets the bass so its worth itin the end. I'm so diappointed though, the bass I wanted rose in price to 200+ on ebay and now my dad won't let me bid on it. Darn. And I whimped out asking a girl to dance last night. I feel so bad now.

twopelu 12-05-2004 06:23 AM

Good morning...

Ive been watching Waynes world for the last hour or so, I really enjoy that film. That kind of old-fashioned-teenager-nonsense-comedy are pretty funny...but nowadays its hard to make things like that. :(

P.D. I agree with the Ben Aflleck thing...when he wasnt any succesful, playing roles in films like Clerks, Mallrats, Silent bob, Dogma...they are nice films, waynes world kind you know. In those days he didnt acted the way he acts now so he isnt such a uni-dimensional actor IMO (Eventhough, nowadays, I consider him a bad actor).

Mitchell Royce 12-05-2004 06:50 AM

lame.

Janelectro 12-05-2004 06:51 AM

^^ how has the deep purlpe revival band been?

Mitchell Royce 12-05-2004 07:03 AM

It was pretty good actually. I've seen a few of them and this one probably had the best singer. Talked with the bassist for a while and he was a pretty cool guy, let me have a go at it with his Gibson RD Artists and so on. Fun was had but there were way to many old people there. How did the vote counting go?

Rollo47 12-05-2004 08:07 AM

Hey All

How are we?

I'm going bass shopping tomorrow. Yay!

blizzard 12-05-2004 08:14 AM

cool

got any bass in mind?

Rollo47 12-05-2004 08:15 AM

Nope. Just gonna go try out all the basses in my price range and see what I like. Got any suggestions for about $500US?

Janelectro 12-05-2004 08:19 AM

Ha counted 300 votes, then recounted 300 votes of another group and then we went to a bar all together :)

blizzard 12-05-2004 08:19 AM

You live in Western Australia don't you rollo

Rollo47 12-05-2004 08:23 AM

Sure do.

blizzard 12-05-2004 08:24 AM

so thats like $750 AUD

Rollo47 12-05-2004 08:25 AM

Nah. About $1000AUD - for $1000AUD, in Australia, you can get a bass that would cost about $500USD

blizzard 12-05-2004 08:28 AM

ok maybe a Cort Curbow or Ibanez SR500 or a Ibanez BTB

actually look at www.guitar.com.au

Rollo47 12-05-2004 08:29 AM

Yup, I was looking at those. I'll see what I can find tomorrow :)

blizzard 12-05-2004 08:31 AM

Wintermute 12-05-2004 08:56 AM

Pffft. I've been trying to get the hang of double thumbing, and now my thumb hurts

angry armadillo 12-05-2004 08:59 AM

Do you have a bass without a neck pickup, that makes it easier to learn on :)

twopelu 12-05-2004 09:04 AM

Im having problems deciding which thing I could choose as a present for Christmas...here are the options:

- Roland keyboard
- Telecaster squier guitar
- Archtop guitar
- Morley Wah pedal for bass + Big Muff
- Just keep saving to get a SUB Stingray someday

any comments?

angry armadillo 12-05-2004 09:09 AM
- Just keep saving to get a SUB Stingray someday
Go for that one, I have one, it's sooo good. :)

twopelu 12-05-2004 09:12 AM

Which bass do you own Wintermute?

Wintermute 12-05-2004 09:12 AM
Do you have a bass without a neck pickup, that makes it easier to learn on :)
Yes I do, but it's a 6 stringer (see profile pic) so the string spacing makes it a fair bit harder to learn on than my trusty old Musicman replica.

I'm getting the right sound, I just have to neaten it up a bit and let my thumb acclimatize.

twopelu 12-05-2004 09:20 AM

What mean "referrals" in the profile?

Wintermute 12-05-2004 09:21 AM

When you create an account there's a box where you can put the screen-name of the MXer who showed you the boards. I have 2, so 2 people filled the box with 'Wintermute'

Wintermute 12-05-2004 09:22 AM
Which bass do you own Wintermute?
a Dean DB96 active six stringer
a Vintage-brand Music Man Stingray replica

twopelu 12-05-2004 09:34 AM

Ammm OK, thx for the info.

Ive heard Deans arent any balanced and its C and G strings suck, is that Tru in your case?
